This is for opening (obtaining) a mystery box. Although it says it must be obtained through daily challenges, it also counts if earned during the weekly challenge.
Daily challenge method - play each day. You must pick up 5 candies during your runs. You don't need to pick them all up in one run. You'll earn a coin payout for the first 4 days, and the 5th day you'll earn a mystery box.
Weekly challenge method - as you play through the game, you'll occasionally see golden palm trees in your path, which can be picked up the same as power ups. Pick up the required number of these over the course of 1 week, and you'll be given a mystery box. My first week I needed 26 of them. They don't appear very often, and can appear anywhere in a run (early or late).
