Right before the end of the first level, Save.

Exit the level which will give you 10k, play the mini-game, I usually got another 10-15k here. Load and repeat. It took me 30 seconds per try, so roughly 10 minutes for this one.

BTW, B to Jump. A with the shovel to swing.
