This mission has it's ups and downs. Remember, you are playing on Veteran, but, luckily, Treyarch seemed to have forgotten this for this level. There a fewer enemies and it's actually quite short. Here ya go:

You start off riding in the train you got on in the end of the last mission, and you will eventually stop and follow your guys to a rally-point. Here you move up a slight hill and take on your first group of German soldiers. They are scattered throughout the sides of 2 or 3 adjacent buildings shooting at you. I found that taking a pth to the extreme left and bounding up from cover to cover made short work of this area. Once you reach this set of buildings, you will get a checkpoint.

This next area can be a little rough. You are now inside this building shooting through a courtyard into another building. I found that while inside this building, you can move to the opposite side and find a rocket launcher upstairs. Use to to make quick work of the enemies. Once they are dead, you get a checkpoint.

You will now be told to clear the office building. It's short work and there are scattered fleeing enemies, so don't worry. You will eventually come to a dead end, which is a brick wall. A checkpoint will occur as the tank drives through it, and then you face the hardest part of this level.

You have a huge courtyard and street to manage in order to get to the asylum. What worked for me was bounding up in and out of the buildings on the right side. Moving far enough ahead prompts your allies to push ahead, and eventually you will hit the end and have to move into the courtyard. Once again, I found that sticking low and to the tight in cover made it a bit easier. Once this area is clear, you get a checkpoint.

Once you are in the asylum, you will move upstairs and be forced to clear a bathroom. This is a tight spot, and effective use of your grenades will be helpful here. In fact, this whole area is quite rough. You will be clearing room after room of German soldiers, and eventually you will come to an area that you will have to expose yourself quite a bit in an upstairs courtyard in order to progress. Here's what you do: You will see a mounted machine gun across a balcony towards some Germans. Instead of using that, move to the room to the right of it and pick em off through the window. Then, move back out and run-then-prone behind each pillar. (You will see when you get there) Once you are close enough, run and prone into the room and take cover behind the burning desk. Your men will mop p the Germans wnho will just about kill you there. Then you can move on. You will get a checkpoint somewhere in here.

Keep clearing and moving, and eventually Reznov will announce that they are retreating. This is where you can either ride the tank, or wait in the back of them while the clear the area up. I found that riding the tank was certain death after a few seconds, so I stayed right and moved through the buildings while the tanks moved forward. Once they stop, you will have to rush up to one of them and ride it's turret to end the mission.

There ya have it. This one is quite short, in my opinion, and not as tough as some of the others.
