Every WoW player at some point has heard of power-levelling and gold sites. I am on two fronts with this. If a player all of a sudden becomes bogged down with work or other aspects of life and is finding it hard to level then by all means I don’t see what’s wrong with paying money to go higher. Sure its profit on something that can’t really be sold but no one would do it for free. I don’t really see whats wrong with £5 for 500gold though!
However I do not see why Blizzard views this as a bad thing. Sure, they didn’t think of it but what is wrong with it? Here we are paying to play! Ok, so they need support, understood but we still pay that £9 a month to log on. So what Blizzard should do is create their feature for all this. For example you are level 35 and can only play an hour or so a few days a week and you want to level but are finding it hard. So you go to the WoW site and go to the power-level option. Say your level, where you want to get to, example 50. Then say you want to be placed in a fresh questing area for new content and maybe pay £20 for the services and in a few days it’s done. All items are placed in the bank for you to view over and decide what to do. Maybe even all expenses like repairing and travel have been reimbursed so the player comes out even richer. In response to gold maybe have it subscription based. Say you have played for two months you get a certain amount of gold depending on level and time subscribed. Perhaps some gold when you use the levelling service.
Also having multiple characters and going through the 1-80 process may get tedious for some....a little boost sure would help.
Some players say it disrupts the gaming economy but im not sure how. It's just gold. It doesn't let you use any powerful items at an early level. The most you could do is buyout a few sellers in the Auction House but thats not disruptive if anyone can do it! Ok, so you could sell the item again for a small profit but there wouldn't be any point in buying expensive stuff just to resell unless you became highly efficient to really make it work for you.
