What I'm Playing: NCAA Football 2009
After returning Soul Calibur IV, rather earlier than I wanted to, I decided to rent NCAA Football 2009. The demo blew me away in terms of graphics and overall gameplay, but 2 minute quarters and no team selection wasn't cutting it for me.
This game is absolutely phenomenal. Many EA Sports fans have lost faith in either Madden or NCAA Football titles, but I really think that EA has kept their NCAA Football series years ahead of any competition whatsoever. Commentary is following that of previous years with the ESPN team featuring Lee Corso. You'll find the same mini-games as last year and then some. They've added new mini-games, mascot games are back and legend mode is an absolute thrill. I enjoyed taking my created quarterback from a high school state tournament to a freshman season in college. I haven't checked whether or not my character can be imported into superstar mode in Madden 2009, but I assume it's there. All in all, this game has been a great game to play.
I'll be having some friends over tonight (to celebrate the last night I'll be spending in my apartment) so hopefully I'll have some multiplayer experience to go by too. This game should help my ease into Madden next week.
