Destiny: Only one area per planet

During a "2old2play" live-stream on Twitch, Deej was asked how many "explorable areas" there are per planet. He went on to say that there are in fact one destination per planet.

The live-stream is still going on

It seems a little bit one area for each planet, especially for a game of exploration and freedom that makes her strong point.
In any case, we'll see when the game is completed what will come. I hope at least that the quests will actually be many and varied.
Well there was only "Old Russia" on Earth, and that was a solid 6ish maps.
"One area" will be several smaller areas within the scope of the planet. Playing the beta, as Kaens stated, there were several other areas on the map. Bungie is going to deliver on this game and I think they'll deliver big.

It keeps being referred to as a MMO, it isn't, not totally anyway. Each server is like a large match making session, so you will see different people all the time, unless you invite them into your fire team etc

They will have a ton of content too. I am pumped for this game, if you couldn't tell.
Video games are like life, difficult, frustrating, but most of all, they're fun and rewarding when you slow down and enjoy them.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Beta, since I was given the impression it was going to be an MMO. It's definitely more of a co-op campaign game, with certain areas having groups of other people who can chip in and help towards side objectives and stuff. Much more interested in it now than I was before trying it.

It's absolutely a MMO, but not a MMORPG that most people consider synonymous. When playing WoW you are in hub worlds where you see different random people, then you go off to smaller instanced areas, it's same thing. This isn't a NEW concept, it's exactly what Phantasy Star Online was/is.
Bungie is not calling it a MMO due to the way they are going to filter people. That's they only reason I don't reference it as such. It isn't going to be massive hubs like you get out of WoW, from what I am reading its going to just be "matchmaking" on the fly.

We'll see though. However it pans out i will have it =)
