I am really curious to see where we as members of this awesome community stand at the current presidential race. I am not looking for arguments or this or that, but just a general feeling of us as a whole. If conversation does begin, let's keep it kind and gentle.
So, who are you rooting for?
I've only posted the top (what appears to be) frontrunners currently being focused on. If you have another candidate you really support, write him/her down and we can discuss!
I'm a socialist -- registered as an Independent, but my beliefs pretty closely align with the Peace and Freedom Party platform on most issues. I am strongly supporting Bernie, since he is the only candidate this far left, even though I don't think he aims high enough with some of his programs -- I know he won't achieve everything he sets out for as it is, but I believe he starts off in a better negotiating position by aiming high.
I first learned about Ted Cruz but after being aware of Sanders, I believe he will bring race relations to the forefront. Hilary is just a money pit and narrow minded policy adopter. She just hopes for the female vote, pathetic. I'm not going to shed light on the other party.
I'd love to see a Kasich-Sanders general but the chances of that happening are almost non-existent. Being a registered Dem, I'll vote Sanders in the primary but if Hillary gets the nomination, which I'm certain she will (superdelegates are BS), I'll vote for whoever the Republicans put forward. Basically I'm in the "anyone but Hillary" camp.
I don't really like Trump, but I do like the idea of political outsider that hasn't been a career politician, just wish it wasn't him.

People are fed-up with the status quo and want an unconventional candidate. Of course that's just my personal theory and I have nothing solid to back it up.
