AS a budding "Jay-Arr-Pee-Gee" fan, I am quite enjoying my time playing with Lost Odessy. The "Skill Link" system allows me to, slightly, tailor my character's to how I want to fight with them, and there's a combat ring system thing that makes combat not just scrolling through menus and clicking on the skills that you want done.
The story about immortals is quite well written (the game being written along side the guy who created the original Final Fantasy Games).
Anyone else played it and have any opinions?

as an avid RPG player, this was one of the best ones i've played in a long time. powerful story, challenging battles, and unique characters all come together to create an ideal old-school RPG for a new generation.
just how far along are you, by the way? unless you beat it already, of course.
I'm very short into the story, like level 20 or some thing. I'm in the crimson forest looking for the main characters grandson. I'm going to play some more tomorrow when I get round to it, but I have no idea what to do in the spirit temple place.

let me know if you there's anything you need to know. also, make sure you're exploring as thoroughly as possible in every area if you plan on finding everything. it can save you a lot of backtracking if you're any sort of completionist.
