don't bother with the original, you cannot set the difficulty, after you get some notes right, it bumps the difficulty, and you can't lower it as far as I can tell. 2014 is so much better, plus for like 10 bucks you can get nearly all RS1 songs imported anyways!

I liked the first one, it keeps pushing you and wasn't too hard. But then I also play guitar already. If the second one has selectable difficulties, it might be the better option so you can go at your own pace though.
