I agree, but then, my father has always been one to procrastinate and not exactly do much when it doesn't involve work. When work is involved, he's all business, but when it's to do with a leisure item like a TV, he's in no hurry.
I've been using my 24" Samsung monitor for both PC/PS3 and now Xbox 360, up to 1080p. It's quite nice, considering I can have all 3 systems hooked onto the same screen, but I'm now finding myself quite hungry for a dedicated Television for my bedroom, so I can throw some Sky HD into the mix. Since I've been using my Samsung monitor for gaming, I can honestly say they get my vote when it comes to television now. Just like I'll never use anything other than Sennheiser when it comes to headphones.
I have enough money to make the purchase now, but I'm considering waiting for the Christmas season or January sales before actually going through with it.
Currently though, my setup is far from what the original post had. I have to say I think it's QUITE over the top, unless you're using it as an office, of course. Currently I have a dual monitor setup. My main monitor, as I said, for my gaming platforms, and the other for E-Mail and messengers. It works out quite well.
Thats a cool looking TV. Theres one that looks like that but 22" which i was looking at for my PC but I'd like to go 24" and Dell has a nice looking one for £186 but im on a tight budget. None of this is happening til august so I'll see about options.
