Today I was at PC World, i went in looking for a mouse or keyboard, when I discovered they had a Mac section at the back of the shop. It's quite a large place and it's behind all the TVs and sound systems so it was no surprise when I saw no one there drooling over the world's most expensive rectangle.
I was amazed at how light the device was, I've held my friend's iPhone and that had more weight that this! Apple instantly scored a point. For the most part, it's like holding a big iPod Touch. The screen is very responsive and navigating the London Underground map was a dream. I was going to try Plants vs Zombies, but didn't for some reason. Instead i booted up the piano key layout and tested out the sound which was clear and quite impressive given the size of the device.
Note that this is not a review of any kind, just thought I'd share my brief experience with it. At the base price it's still too much to ask, you'd be better off, IMO, waiting for the next iPhone which is going to be revealed next monday, so I've heard. Did I mention the iPhone fits in your pocket?
