Do not rely on the in-game statistics to track this achievement. It is likely that the game only counts games where you are present for the entire round (meaning you see the countdown on both ends of the game) and play at least 1 word, while the statistics count any game that you are present for, even if it's only for the last 3 seconds without any words played. This means that your statistics will probably show 100 games much sooner than the achievement will pop. The best way to go about this achievement methodically is to plug your phone in, turn the auto-lock off, and leave the game running without exiting at any point until it pops, checking your phone every 2:30 or so to play 1 word.
