This must be obtained during a single run.

When:
Anytime from the start of the game.

Method:
Every time you get a level up choice, choose the AXE when you can. (Having unlocked skips / banishes will make this easier of course.)

Do this EIGHT times to get the axe to level eight.

Now, kill mini-bosses and collect their chests - fingers crossed, you'll get the evolution from axe to scythe.

Achievement unlocked!
