Use the Xbox screen shot, pause game, then go study the picture until you know where everything is. If too many of the items are highlighted in yellow text, that means they are either behind something or require some interaction - those slow you down! If you don't get this the first try, don't worry because you will likely revisit the exact same puzzle once or twice more and all the items you found the first times will be gone, thus making it easier.
