    Prepared For The Future G25:
    Make 25 Babies

Where do babies come from? Storks, of course!

In order to, earn this achievement, grow the population from the inside out, you need to place a male and a female into living quarters. Charisma has a massive effect on this, particularly the time it takes for the two to decide to get together. First they talk, then they dance, then they run into the back of the room. He runs out happy, she limps out, holding her back and wearing a yellow shirt. She is now pregnant.

You'll need to upgrade your living quarters, now.

A key to making this faster is to have both male and female max out their charisma. Have each wear clothing that increases charisma, and it'll go faster.

Pregnant women still use any gear you give them, so any clothing perks they have will still apply. This is important in maximizing efficiency. However, you'll want to consider taking good weapons away from them while they're pregnant. Pregnant women run away from fights.

After several hours, you'll be told that a baby is coming. Click on the little green baby head icon, and the baby will then join the population, and she will revert to whatever gear she is wearing. If you are working to grow the population quickly, you can again place her in quarters with a man, and the circle of life repeats.

NOTE: Babies will not be born when your vault is full (they stay pregnant), so either dwellers will need to die or be exiled first.

Some additional tips to build off of Eric's guide:

*No incest allowed. Family members will not breed. If you notice a male and a female standing together for a while without doing anything, zoom in on them and observe their conversation. They will make very overt references to being family. To make this easier to track, I gave every new baby the same last name as their opposite gender parent. In other words, girls took their fathers' last names, boys took their mothers' last names. This way, as long as two dwellers didn't have the same last name, they were good to go. Technically this wouldn't stop aunt/uncle/niece/nephew, brother/sister, cousin/cousin, or grandparent/grandchild pairings, but all I can say is that I didn't do anything beyond the last name thing to track genealogy, and no one ever seemed to have a problem doing the horizontal cha-cha with anyone that didn't have their last name. Take that for what you will. The other way to address this is to simply keep 1 male and 5 unrelated females in the same living quarters together and never move them out. The male will just bounce from one woman to the next, knocking them all up, and as soon as anyone gives birth, it's back to the races. If you go this route, make sure everyone is heavily armed, as if there is ever an attack, the lone male will generally be the only one ready to fight. All the pregnant females will run and hide. You might get lucky and have 1-2 non-pregnant females at the time of an attack, which is why they should also be armed, but you're unlikely to ever have more than 3 defenders (most often only 1).

*Keep in mind that charisma influences breeding rate. Stick 2 dwellers with 1 charisma together, and sooner or later they'll breed, but it will take a while. Stick 2 dwellers with 10 charisma together, and it will never take longer than 20 seconds for them to end up in the bedroom (barring an attack).

*The stronger the parents, the stronger the child. If you reach a point where you have multiple characters with maxed out stats before unlocking this achievement (which is unlikely, but hey maybe you just keep your vault dwellers too busy to ever visit pound town), breeding these two maxed out characters has a decent chance of producing legendary children. Unfortunately these children don't count toward the legendary dweller count, but they have stats that are consistent with a legendary dweller, allowing them to hit the ground running when it comes to contributing to the vault in a meaningful way.

You will unlock this achievement once you have made 25 babies. This is done by dropping a male and female dweller into any open living quarter room.

The two dwellers will then begin a series of steps leading up to birth beginning with awkward chit chat and dancing. They will then kiss and go into what I presume is the bedroom (it's hidden for those that are ultra curious) with the female dweller returning pregnant.

You can then drop the pregnant dweller anywhere and as time passes (which will vary depending on the dweller's charisma stat) a baby icon will appear above the dweller allowing you to birth a baby.

Simply do this 25 times by mixing female and male dwellers in living quarters as stated above. Male dwellers can impregnate multiple female dwellers making this a bit easier and less time consuming.
