Double Time!G 10

Like all the other MCC par time achievements, this can be done on Easy difficulty. The time to beat is 25 minutes. I did it in less than 22 on my first go-round - and then the achievement didn’t unlock - so I did it again and shaved another minute off. Sub-20 minutes is certainly possible.

A few tips:

- Run past all the enemies at the start. You don’t need to fight them, and despite what the dialogue may suggest, your AI teammates can get by them just fine as well.

- Once you get into the Warthog, there will be a rocket launcher on the ground before the first set of big doors blocking the highway. While you’re waiting for them to open, grab this and hold onto it for later.

- When Buck suggests taking the gauss Warthog, that’s a good suggestion. It’s better for taking out the Ghosts & Banshees you’ll be fighting.

- When you reach the Scorpion, hop into that as well. The slower speed isn’t much of a hindrance as you’re still faster than the garbage truck you’re escorting. It’s not as good at knocking down Banshees as Buck is with the gauss cannon, but it’s good enough.

- In the stretch of highway where the garbage truck is disabled by the Scarab, ditch the Scorpion tank for the nearby Warthog. It’s the unarmed “passenger” variant, but there’s no enemies between here and where you ditch it, so you can save some time by taking it instead of the tank.

- Once you ditch the vehicles and arrive at the entrance to the nature reserve, give Buck the rocket launcher you picked up.

- Then head inside, look to the left and pick up another rocket launcher. When Dare arrives, give her the rocket launcher. (You may need to swap your pistol for something else since that’s what she has and you can’t have 2 pistols) Having two AI teammates with unlimited ammo rocket launchers makes the fight at the end of this mission easier. You can focus more on the Grunts/Jackals while they take out the Brutes/Hunters as they climb the steps.
