A 'Guardians of the Galaxy' playset was announced for Disney Infinity 2.0!

Also, Stitch & Tinkerbell were announced last week as playable characters.

And here I thought INFINITY 2.0 was going to be nothing but Marvel and the such and not including the Disney type characters?

There have only been Marvel playsets announced, but there are 4 stand-alone Disney characters announced so far- Stitch, Tink, Maleficent, & Merida. They have also announced that characters from the original Infinity game will be playable in the toy box in 2.0.

No Daredevil character announced yet :-( but Iron Fist & Nova are confirmed.
announced the release date:

09/19 on Europe
09/23 on USA
I wonder if we'll get Galactus?? Or Impossible man?? I really want a Ghost Rider figure though.

I enjoy these types of games, mainly Skylanders, how is Infinity though?
Video games are like life, difficult, frustrating, but most of all, they're fun and rewarding when you slow down and enjoy them.
I haven't played Skylanders so I don't know how they compare, but I thought Disney Infinity was a ton of fun. A lot of kids games bore me but I enjoyed it a lot. It is pretty expensive to get all the characters & playsets (mini campaigns), but you don't have to buy any extra stuff outside of the starter kit to finish the game. Check out my review if you're interested:

Skylanders is so much better in every way than Infinity...

Figures are cheaper (no Disney upcharge)
All items/figures carry forward in future games (Infinity only has one game but they'll probably do this)
All characters are available in every level (unless you are in stupid toybox mode you can only use figures from that playset)
Meaningful character upgrade path (vs waste of time "levels" on your figure that does nothing but change color of statue in hub world)
Better platforming
Better puzzles

If my daughter didn't want crap like Frozen stuff, we wouldn't even have Infinity in my house. I don't doubt they'll eventually copy it will enough, but right now Skylanders is infinitely better (pun intended).
Honestly, I am not a fan of Disney's desire to do "Toy Box" mode in their games. That mode does nothing for me, and hinders their games for me.

Clearly I've made my choice!
