Chicago Fire/Chicago PD

Anyone watch these? My son recommended them to me a while back, so Patty and I started burning through them. We should have started with Fire but chose PD instead because, well, when it comes to TV and/or movies, cop stuff is usually better than fire stuff Lol

However, we've now burned through all of PD and we're almost caught up to current with Fire and both are pretty kick ass. There are a boatload of crossover episodes between the two, as well as crossover episodes with Law and Order: SVU (Dick Wolf, the L&O creator is also responsible for CF and C:PD).

If you're looking for something to check out, I highly recommend both shows. I'd start with CF since PD is actually a spin-off from Fire but it doesn't matter THAT much if you do the opposite like Patty and I did.

They added a new one, Chicago Med. The verdict is still out on that one as there have only been a couple episodes but the wife and I are still digging Fire and PD. Some episodes are lackluster but it's better than most of the crap out there these days.

Nope. Chicago is a mess of a city, I blame 85 years of Democrat leadership. I have zero interest in watching any shows about that train wreck.

Can't say I find the idea interesting enough to watch. Last cop show I watched was The Killing.

It's a TV show, not a documentary, Feelings about the city itself should have pretty much the same effect as your feelings towards Atlanta if you want to watch The Walking Dead or Albuquerque for Breaking Bad....

I'd rather eat a bullet than live in any large city but I'm not sure how that could possibly effect my TV programming choices Lol

I remember watching a crossover episode on SVU with the cfd. I rarely watch SVU now that almost everyone been replaced ..it became less interesting.

I spend a LOT of time in the woods/fields....shooting, hunting, cutting/splitting firewood, brushhogging, etc. Those are the things I find relaxing.

I spent several months in the Chicago area then was stationed in Long Beach for a couple years and hated it. Vegas is the only "city" I truly love and that's only in 3 to 5 day stints. Then I head home, put my thrower in the bed of the rhino and head out in the field to shoot clays. I can shoot, hunt and fish right there on the farm so I'm rarely bored. I'd go absolutely stir-crazy in the city. Different strokes, I reckon...

Either way, my hate of Chicago has nothing to do with my TV preferences and my hate of the time I spent in Long Beach didn't stop me from watching Gone in 60 Seconds Lol

I Love the Chicago trilogy
I'm a gamer. Xbox & Windows Gaming Platform.
My wife loves watching all 3 shows and she keeps recommending that i should watch them cause i'm a big L&O fan, i'll give it a try especially cause Walking Dead is on hiatus and i'm still waiting next month for X-Files.

Fan of all of them, especially PD....Chicago Med is off to a slow start, but I'm sure it'll pick up as we get to know the characters more.

I'll wait for Chicago Gov the spin off of Chicago Law where we get intense governmental action!! Lol.. I love shared universes..but really I don't watch too much tv I was a big L&O fan but with the three spin offs they had and the multitude of other shies I watched I found myself drowning in tv and if I'm sitting in front of the tv I'd rather be playing a game.
