I have been watching Star Trek for many years. It filled the void between Star Wars movies and then it became awesome. When did you start watching?

I seem to recall watching the original series with my parents when it aired in syndication around the time that Next Generation was on TV, so we would watch an episode of each whichever night of the week that was. After the first J.J. Abrams re-boot movie came out on DVD, I decided to watch all of the movies and television series, to have fresh memories of them -- finished watching Enterprise earlier this year.

I remember watching the original series as kid, it was probably syndication by then still but I do remember watching the Original first movie come out in theaters and being so happy when they announced TNG.. I was a bit disappointed by DS9 and was on the fence about Voyager, by that time I thought it was just a little too much, but when those were canceled and Enterprise was announced I got interested again... it was a sad day when they announced that no new Star Trek shows will be airing and though its been like ten years since we last a saw a new episode on TV and TV has grown so much more, I'm kind of glad that we only have the movies now. I have seen some fan made stuff and herd all kinds of rumors over the years of new Star Trek TV shows but now that the Movies have been rebooted, I just don't know if they could go back to being just a TV show. It wouldn't feel right and they definitely would have the same people playing the crew, it would cost way too much for them. I think they would have to go with an entirely new crew and then how could they be on the Enterprise... nope let's just keep the bang of the movies going.. but now with Star Wars on the rise.... hmm may be it will be like the MCU v DCU, but we could have a ST movie and SW movies alternate between years so as to not get too out of hand.

I love The Original Series, i like and dislike The Next Generation, enjoyed Voyager, despised Deep Space Nine and Enterprise was ok.
Deep Space Nine was the best of all the series.

It is the only one to have true character development, interpersonal conflict, continuous storylines, actual plots...

And with The Inner Light and Darmok being the best of TNG, Far Beyond the Stars and Shadows and Symbols are the best of all of Star Trek.

Voyager was always the weakest to me.
I started watching the original series when I was a kid ( it was already in syndication by then ).
Deep Space Nine sucked, Voyager was good but not the best.

Push aside the cheesy sets, The Original Series was the best.

Gotta love America.
I started watching when that whale movie was on all the time on HBO. Much. much later I watched all the films. Later, I eventually watched all the series, except TOS and the cartoon, I just could not stomach those.
