That's my question! Sounds like Dynasty though when they shot JR.....

It was the ending of Newhart, possible the best ending to a series, ever:

Last night was entertaining, again. I have enjoyed the Wolves as a stand-in for the Scavengers.
Entertaining? You don't think you are underselling that just a hair? That was a-MAZ-ing! I'm actually not a fan of Carol, but man I love when she goes into survival mode.

I liked Carol as the "Sheep in Wolves' Clothing" as it were. And I liked what you learned about some of the characters. But, 601 has longer reaching implications for the series than 602.
Oh I f'n hated 601. Soon as I saw the B&W I couldn't have rolled my eyes any harder. Next will be the one cut episode, then the musical. F the artsy crap, let's get on with the zomibe/human killing (like in 602). I don't want any art in my zombie soap operas!

Have to agree with futies, I was wowed by the season opener. Last nights episode was great as well, but the season opener. Just wow. Just the scope and scale of the episode was amazing. The black and white flashback was not that artsy, it was just a great way to distinguish between then and now.

That said you know you are watching a great show when the last episode leaves you with a hear of walkers heading to the town after that horn blows and the management group has to reassess the situation and then the next episode doesn't even address any of that, but you are still completely into the new episode.

I was going back and forth with Enid being a wolf. Carol was great one second she is making a casserole next thing she is taking out wolves and apparently smoking does kill. Big Grin

As smart as this Reg guy was I always thought it was dumb to have the wall supports on the outside of the wall, but that wall held strong when the semi truck crashed into it. Their luck continues to hold in this instance, but half the community has to be dead after the attack. The one thing they didn't address was the trailer attached to the truck, There must be a bunch of walkers in there that they didn't get a chance to deploy.

I expected that trailer to be filled with walkers, the lights and music speakers similar to the trap the wolves had in last season finale.

*EDIT*

18:53 in to episode, Carol, still in Housemaker Attire watches Alexandrian in a blue polo shirt being led away in chains.

Screen Shot:

(Sorry, quality is OK on a single frame)

But this is better:

It actually got even more clear and obvious, but, I could not waste any more time on a screen capture, it is the scene leading up to Carol killing the Wolf whose clothes she takes.
Screw the screenshots, I saw it too futiles. They definitely carted someone around in chains because I turned to my wife and said they are behaving exactly like raiding Vikings.

Now, obviously, Alexandria is a bit beat up, but, it only lost the weaker folks. Any of the stronger characters were on herd duty. But, a trailer full of peaceful captives would be a way to refill the ranks, as well as make Alexandria aware of any other settlements nearby.

For me they just have not revealed enough about the wolves yet, so i'm not sure if your pulling from the comics (of which I have not read that far nor do I want to). Now I know this thread says spoilers and discussion, but lets please not go beyond the show episodes as I am purposely not reading the comics to ruin the show.

Alexandria is beat up, but only lost weaker folks, but they need more people to survive.
Not make the captives aware, literally make the settlement of Alexandria aware.

Rick opens the trailer, dozens of scared captives are inside. The Alexandrians welcome them in. The captives ask where they are, and try to figure out how far from home they are. Some, like Noah's town's survivors, will know there is nothing left to go home to and will want to stay. Others would have been grabbed on the road, and will want to find their homes again.

But, that's just my guess. It could be a trailer full of Twinkies. (Or Snowballs)
