Because Thanos spent the better part of 3 decades scouring the cosmos for his offspring (literally hundreds of them) and killing them off so they could never rise up against him. He had quickies with females on almost every inhabited planet.

But, second only to Captain America is Thanos. I have a very decent Thanos collection (a lot of which I have had to go through the process of re-acquiring after it all drowned, because paper comics and brackish water != happy times).

Between each of his limited series, he has one of the more interesting story arcs, which, when read in chronological order tells one of Marvel's best arcs.
I can actually see the Collector being a reasonable bridge to Warlock's character, too. It would get the Collector plenty more screen time as well.

Actually, the 45 issues from the death of Steve Rogers forward are actually some of the best. If they could even hit 50% of that level quality, the movies will be amazing.

I really don't know how they will end Civil War, nor have I looked up any spoilers, but, I am OK with any path they take, if it is done well.

Personally, I would very much like to see the MCU do something with the character of the USAgent. I have always felt like Bucky becoming that character in the MCU could work really well. (And Bucky's almost 3 years as Cap was actually better than some of Steve's years.)

I like Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, and I like Captain America as a man out of time, and Sam Wilson as Captain America loses that. So far, both volumes of Captain America with Sam Wilson with the shield have been OK, which is disappointing. But, Bucky had that same man out of time persona, but, with a much darker past. And instead of doing it "because it was right and moral," Bucky did it to repay Steve and repay debts from his past. So, I'd like to see that make the big screen. As Cap, sure. As USAgent, even better...

On the other hand, my response is usually:

"Rob Zombie took his own songs and did another version of them he likes? Cool."

"George Lucas took his own movies and made what he feels are improvements? Cool."

"George Lucas made more movies within the universe he created? Cool."

"Robert Kirkman is working with people on a television series based on his comics, but, they are letting things develop organically so it is different? Cool."

Basically, as soon as the ruining childhood bitching starts, I start to have fun. I usually am amazed that the human race has perfected time travel in such a way as to go back and specifically affect their childhood. It seems odd that someone would not only desire to change their childhood memories, but, that they would announce their plans early.
I feel like Warlock needs to show up considering his importance to the story, and without he or Silver Surfer, you leave a lot on the shoulders of Strange as far as major cosmic players go.
As for Civil War, I don't want to see Evans stop being Cap at all, but we're pretty sure it's coming based on contracts. I'd say the only question will be if he's killed off or not.

In order to make sales they have to make changes so that it is fun and exciting for everyone even if that means making small changes or big ones for that matter.

As of right now, we have Star-Lord as a potential cosmic power in the MCU, obviously Dr. Strange will be powerful, The Vision seems to replace the Silver Surfer, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) will be a cosmic heavy, not sure what the shakedown will be from Ragnarok, but, Thor (in the MCU) is a cosmic heavy, too.

I could also see GotG2 or Captain Marvel introduce Nova.

So, potentially you have Star-Lord, Dr. Strange, Vision (Seriously, MCU Vision is way overpowered of comics Vision, WAY OP), Captain Marvel, Thor, Nova, and Adam Warlock. I think any combination of 4 or 5 of those, the way the MCU is doing them, would have potential to work.
Good point about Vision; even though the comic doesn't use him much, he is being set up as a pivotal character. I never considered Star-Lord to be "cosmic" himself, but his movies are the best intro to cosmic entities for viewers. I think Captain Marvel comes out too late to be significant, since it will be in between the Infinity War movies, but I see Strange and GotG2 as being the most important movies for predicting how IW will unfold. I don't think Ragnarok will play as large of a role in the bigger picture, either.

I would love to see Nova show up at some point, but I always figured they would explore him after the IW saga wraps up.
I just want to thank you guys for all this. The mythology is so fantastic, and hearing the fine details and remembering the forgotten relics once read all summed up right here is very nice. Thank you. This is cool.

Ant-man and The Wasp taking place (I guess) between the two films has me curious what they will be doing, though. I could see the omniscient being in control of all reality missing "the little things" within the details...
Yrs t seems like they are definitely setting up the cosmic characters and don't forget the Hulk. He's said to be in Thor for the new film and he's played a big part with Planet Hulk.. Although I don't know how they could stretch the story of him aiding? In Thors new movie to PH or if they would even go down that route. I'm just saying you need to consider Hulk will be used pretty heavy I think since Evens may or may not be coming back as Cap. (after all, we've sen that talk before from Robert Downey Jr). I think they have planted the seeds for Bucky Cap and possibly at the end of Civil War we could see that and Evens maybe being US Agent. This would put Evens in line for potential come back and the Cap brand being more universal (aka James Bond)

I can't wait for Doctor Strange and hopefully (fingers crossed) we'll get to see a new better version of Ghost Rider! The only thing I'm concerned about is that the TV versions of Daredevil, and Jessica Jones are also supposed to shoe up in the MCU (movies) I was thinking how they can take the "Defenders" and get them into the movies reasonably. Although I would be super hyped to see that.

First Avenger, Avengers, Winter Soldier, Age of Ultron, Civil War, Feature #6. Chris Evans will be in one more movie, minimum.

There are no plans for Planet Hulk. So, that won't feature into anything before 2020, and until after Infinity War part 2.

While I would love to see "The Captain" or even "Nomad" show up in the movies, I really think that is less likely than USAgent. If Chris Evans is in a movie, he will either be full on Captain America or Steve Rogers: Super Soldier or Steve Rogers: Director of SHIELD, which they already used the costume for:

OMG I WOULD LOVE TO SEE NOMAD SOMEHOW MAKE IT TO THE BIG SCREEN!!!!

And, as for the contract talk, no one has broken contract with Marvel. No one has discussed breaking contract with Marvel. Even the switch from Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo was on Marvel's end, and not Edward Norton trying to get out. He gave a lot of effort to stay in the role, it just didn't work. So, Chris Evans has one more film. He will do that, he even said in an interview that Thor 2 was not part of the 6 film contract, and that unless Marvel doesn't put him in, he has one more, at least...
Lol. That's old Nomad... I like the later versions a bit better. As for Steve Rodgers: Super Soldier... I just dint get it. I stopped reading comics back when the original onslaught brought in Heroes reborn, if that helps, but did Steve Rodgers give up being Cap and now he's SS? Doesn't make much sense, its an old story line, why nit just stay Captain America? (me rambling) can't say I much like the idea of the Flacon being Captain America, but I guess I can't say too much on the subject and no I not going all "they ruined my childhood" on you.. Lol.

As for Norton Hulk he was not down with sharing the screen with others and that was why Marvel dropped him. There was no big multi deal movie contract at the time. I think he may have been the reason why they started the muti movie contracts. Yes Evens has one more on his but that's not to say he could be back but nit as Captain America? (you kind of proved that) As for Robert Downey Jr. He did have a multi contract but it ran out, so no he did not break any contracts, but he did leverage for better pay and I believe he's going movie by movie now due to that.

Your probably (99.9%) more in point with your Planet Hulk then me, but it is a probability...lol.. It is Hollywood after all. I just mentioned the Hulk because he's still a major player in the MCU even though he wont be getting another solo movie for quite sometime. Honestly I liked David Banna as the Hulk I just hated that movies way of treating the character.. But ultimately I think Rufolo (sorry for butchering the names) is a great Hulk.
