Right off the bat (*snicker*), I am going to talk about "it" immediately.

I was really, really, really hoping that the Zod turned into Doomsday rumors were false, or misdirection, or something.
I've been trying to watch this trailer all day now, been out on my phone so its been having trouble loading.. I have a friend who saw it and said that it was just trash and that were all F'ckd...his words not mine. But I've never been a big batfleck fan.. But I will hold judgments until the final movie.. I have heard Doomsday is the big badie in this and that its possible that he was "grown" from Zod and even the actor who played Zod said he had returned for this movie and had "flippers" for hands while shooting the Mocap for this..I'm still interested to see this.. So I may be back with more commentary later today/tonight once I actually get to see this.

Just had the chance to watch this.. and (fix your youtube address btw) so far I, am at a loss.. I liked half of it and I didn't like half of it. I think the dialog at the end was a bit cheesy and the Lex character has changed... really changed.. I don't know, was it me or did Lex sounded like the Joker?

Other than that the Zod Doomsday revile...meh.. but it was when Wonder Woman saved Batman in the middle of the fight, yea your right kinda of killed the whole movie...

This one was more interesting than that other trailer for that other hero thing
Adding nothing constructive to a thread near you

What exactly is the point of this thread?

With a March release, If I didn't make it to the theater to see this film it wouldn't even bother me.
Affleck as Batman doesn't bother me, its Eisenberg as Lex Luthor that bothers me... I just hate his voice in every movie hes in...

Actually, almost none of the individual decisions bother me. Taken separately, each one could have been fine.

I think Doomsday is not a good choice for a villain in a film, much like I think Carnage and Venom are bad choices in films. Sometimes, what works on paper and in animation just doesn't work when you try to CGI it into "reality" for the films. Honestly, I think Marvel has pulled off magic with the Hulk, and they know it, and that is why you get just so much of him, now.

Jesse Eisenberg is a fine actor, and he could easily play a convincing Luthor, with proper setup.
Ben Afleck and Jeremy Irons, see above statement.
Gal Gadot, well, I know nothing about her, but, Wonder Woman is a great character, see above statement.
Jason Momoa (is that right?), I only know as Kal Drogo, so, same as Gal Gadot, but, Aquaman is ripe for a revival, see above statement.
Ray Fisher as Cyborg, this is a repeat of the Wonder Woman/Gal Gadot statement...

So, basically, in 150 minutes, we are going to meet, for the first time, Lex Luthor, Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Doomsday. We are going to have some level of protesting going on. Flashback to the end of Man of Steel. A fight in the desert, which presumably takes place before a fight in the city. But, Batman gets captured in the desert fight, but gets away, to fight Superman, again, when we find out Luthor made Doomsday out of Zod's DNA/Body/Semen/Whatever, and just before Doomsday nukes Bruce/Bats, Wonderwoman shows up and shields him. I guess another fight ensues. Somewhere Aquaman shows up, and Cyborg (or maybe, just Victor Stone, and he becomes Cyborg because of one of the 3 fights...) is there too. We get some backstory on Bruce, cause there is a dead/missing/former Robin. We get at least some side story about Luthor, cause, he's making a monster (why? seriously, why? WHO THE ACTUAL FUCK MAKES A MONSTER?) and setting it loose? (Seriously, I am just completely lost here.)

So, all of this wraps up, and we have a team of Superheroes. I guess Batman gets over the Xenophobia? And Maybe we know why Superman is cool with the heavy duty literal god worshiping? I mean, that would be useful.

So, much like Batman Forever, or Batman & Robin, or Spider-man 3, or X-men 3, or any number of Superhero films that decided more was better without setup, the train-wreck is not any one choice (well, including Doomsday might be...), but the cumulative affect of all decisions.
Seems like WAY too much for one film.

IMO 10 mins of any film with Affleck in it is too much.

All Confirmed.
Gal Gadot aka Wonder Woman was in one of the Fast and Furious movies...I believe.

I don't know, the white guy was an undercover cop, and Vin Diesel was bad, but they were friends, even at the end, and later, they were both bad, but the heroes, and the Rock is good, but the villain. I may have missed something.

Then you have a Bat vigilante in Gotham, how are they going to explain the entire Justice League in this film! The populace is going to lose their collective shit as superheroes come out of the woodwork all of a sudden.

The Justice League, at least, won't be until the end of the film. Probably some Hollywood tripe of, "Let's team up to fight this other guy! Hey, great work, we should be a team!" (Shake hands, smile, fade to black).

But, what worked in Avengers is each major player getting their own 2-2.5 hours of setup, and the slow walk you take to get their.

Would you believe a super genius that invents perpetual energy and a super suit? Yes? Cool.
OK, so, what about another super genius, trying to figure out how to unlock human potential, things go a little sideways, and he becomes a sometimes monster? Yeah, still with me? Cool.
What about another genius figures out what the first genius did? Turns out their daddies knew each other, and there is a behind the scenes shadow government and organization? Yes? Sweet.
So now that we have all that, it turns out that "gods" are actually just really powerful aliens, and those aliens have come to Earth in the past. That cool? AWESOME!
Alright, so, that second super genius was trying to recreate the work of a WWII era super genius who was actually successful. One guy took the formula and has a messed up face, another guy took it, and is awesome, they fight over some science that is basically magic. Got that?

OK! So the Avengers, take all that, cause we are cool now, and hordes of aliens come through a space hole after another alien controls your hearts with a glowing stick...

Slow walk you all the way.
