Went to see this today with my wife. I went in thinking "I'm not sure about these casting choices....Jim & Roy from The Office, William Lewis from SVU and Gale "Major Tom" Boetticher??" But my worries were misplaced...they nailed it! All of them. Outstanding casting and the overall film was great.

However, it's also extremely hard to watch. Sure does trigger some feelings of outrage. Without getting too political for the forums, suffice to say that I've never walked out of a theater daydreaming about torturing a politician until today. Fellow veterans beware...this film has the potential to make your blood boil.

The first film since Black Hawk Down and American Sniper that I really anticipate watching, hopefully soon.

If not, then you're intelligence, which I have admired, is wasted on fixating a belief on a highly personally motivated media system. Are you also going to say that Zero Dark Thirty, American Sniper, Lone Survivor and etc were highly fictionalized accounts? Regardless of what the media has donever to glamorously edit those films, the fact remains that people died brutal deaths in the name of service towards the country they hold most dear to their hearts. I've been there. I've witnessed the brutality. I've experienced loss and heartache from it. What good would it do to exaggerate an already horrifying experience? Really?

So a highly fictionalized account of what might have happened still left widows and fatherless children. People are still mourning the loss of their loved ones. People fucling died Micheal. Died, how the fuck is that highly fictionalized? How the fuck does someone who's died only might have died? Sure, Hollywood has stylized it for ticket sales, but it does not mean that it wasn't real. Don't be ignorant to the world around you. You may be intelligent, but that statement was incredibly stupid.

Facts help, but I'm done. There is no reason to try to convince someone who made up their mind ahead of time.
It all boils down to who you believe. I watched an interview with three of the operators who were there and they all confirmed the stand down order. The White House says it never happened. Being a vet, I will choose to believe my fellow vets over career politicians, some of which have spent most of their life under investigation. I fully realize that opinions are going to vary, especially since we are divided now more than ever thanks to the most polarizing political leadership in my lifetime.

At this point, what difference does it make? Wink

Boots on the ground or inflated egos of politicians? Truth is, leadership made a mistake and tried to cover it up, which tends to be part for their course, and it cost lives. Simple.

Michael, your source is an obvious left biased publication. You can't believe one source of media. Read all sides and come to an educated conclusion based on all information presented. Both sides will tilt the "facts" to reinforce their agenda. The truth lies among the middle.
I saw it and loved it, i've been watching these guys interviewed since last year, bought the book and couldn't wait for this movie to come out, God Bless them and their bravery.
