Does this look like a big turd or is it me. I loved the original cast and the movie was pretty good compared to what's seen in the trailer.

I thought it looked fun. I like the one girl, Melissa something.

Huge turd fire. Can't stand any of the women they got, and this reboot screams that it's nothing more than a cheap attempt to cash in on people's nostalgia of an actual good movie. I can only hope this tanks, but sadly I'm sure it will do just well enough because of the Ghostbuster's name and the CG that they'll make another.
Adding nothing constructive to a thread near you

What exactly is the point of this thread?

There was already a Ghostbusters 2, so do you think they should make a ghostbuster 3? Seriously people, we all need to get over ourselves. This new Ghostbusters movie is NOT for you, you still have the old one.

The trailer was not good enough to make me want to see it. Passing on this one...

Just to name a few of the top of my head that were kind of surprising to me.

Or even take a concept for a movie you might think original. Take Deep Impact & Armageddon as an example. Original? Nope it has been done before. Sean Connery made that movie in 1979 and it was called Meteor.
Battlestar Galactica yes a TV show but the remake was better than the original, but it did have great writing which is lacking in a lot of these hollywood remakes.
They NEED to Stop Remaking films after a decade or 2, leave the old movies alone.!

I like that they remake some moves, or reboot others, or whatever they want to call it, If you like the old ones cool, the new ones cool. I think its like different versions of songs.. I love me some Johny Cash and he remade some old songs but I don't care for the originals and vice versa. Just take it as it comes.. personally I think I'll pass on this one, unless my daughter wants to go see it, the only thing I don;t care for is when the try to PC the new remakes and to diliberlazty contradict what I just said it kinda of perks me that in this preview it shows the Black lady as not being the smart one, I think they could have done something little better with that aspect since it appears that everyone of them is going to be the Bill Murray for this one.

I like the reboots too, but, if given a choice between explosion, action-fest and traditional scifi, I traditionally go with scifi.

I could throw this out there for you (and it is honest), The Force Awakens was not enjoyable to me. I think it was OK, but, I would rate it a solid 6 out of 10, at best.
