A few thoughts and theories for The Flash (with spoilers)

I'll start off with the "man in the iron mask" who, as I have commented before, I think might be Barry's father from Earth-2. I've since rewatched the scene where Barry is on Earth-2 and speaks with his mother's counterpart from there ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZ1FbydBelY ). While she does speak as though everything is fine, including thanking Barry for anniversary tickets to Atlantis (I love the subtle Aquaman reference, here), so it would seem that Earth-2 Henry is alive and well and spending time with his wife. However, she does also offer to give those tickets to Barry and Iris, so perhaps she's trying to hid the fact that Henry is missing or has been taken by Zoom for some unknown reason. Not that I can think of a reason for her to hide the fact that Zoom took him or a good reason for Zoom to have taken him in the first place. It's not like Earth-2 Barry is the Flash. The Earth-2 Flash was Jay Garrick (or in this case, Hunter Zolomon aka Zoom posing as Jay). The only reason that I can think of for Earth-2 Henry Allen to have been taken by Zoom would be some relationship to Hunter and the Garrick family (Henry, when speaking to Barry, mentions that his mother's maiden name was Garrick).

With that said, there is another theory that I've heard that the man in the iron mask is actually the Flash from yet another Earth; this one being the universe that the 1990's TV show the Flash takes place on, making the man John Wesley Ship, but as Barry Allen and not Henry Allen ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=949NWVZ3hRQ ).
I won't get into everything that the video brings up, but I'll reference a couple of things and add some thoughts. This show has done foreshadowing before. A good example is when Barry runs though the wormhole, or whatever you want to call it, and sees various snippets of realities and time. In these we see Killer Frost, who later makes an appearance in the series via Earth-2. We also see John Wesley Shipp's Flash. This show has been referenced several times elsewhere, at least indirectly or subtly. For instance, The Trickster, who was a villain in the old Flash series, is a villain in this one. He is still played by Mark Hamill and is introduced as an existing character rather than someone newly created like the Meta-Humans. Doctor Christina McGee, played by Amanda Pays, is also a character from the 1990s Flash series. That Doctor McGee was actually a love interest of that Barry Allen. Ironically enough, once this Doctor McGee meets up with Henry Allen, the two seem quickly smitten with each other. Could this be a little bit of foreshadowing to make the man in the iron mask that Flash and a way to bring John Wesley Shipp back to the show without him being the now dead Henry Allen or his Earth-2 counterpart? After all, Zoom did tell Barry (Season 2 Episode 18) that he wouldn't believe him if he told him who the man in the mask was. And, we know that there are more than just two Earths in the CW multiverse thanks to the crossover with Supergirl on CBS.

Speaking of which, has anybody else heard that Supergirl is coming over to the CW? Is this going to remain a separate world or will it somehow get combined into the "Arrowverse"? We do see, through one of Cisco's Vibe visions at the end of the latest episode what appears to be Earth-2 splitting. Is there some sort of Crisis on infinite / Multiple Earths coming that will merge some of these realities?

What about the changes made by Barry when he traveled back to talk to Thawne/Wells? The change of events leading to them being friendly with Hartley cannot be the only change? What other changes will we see? Will any of these lead to the aforementioned possible Crisis?

When will we see Batman or Green Lantern in the Arrowverse? Batman seems to exist because when Oliver gives Felicity her code name, he tells her Oracle was already taken (for those that don't know, Oracle is the name taken by Barbara Gordon, aka BatGirl, after she gets paralyzed), which would indicate that the Batman "family" is already in existence. Will they tie this to the Gotham TV show somehow, or will that be a separate reality of it's own (unless we get a Crisis)? We also know that Farris Air had to shut down because one of its test pilots went missing (a clear reference to Hal Jordan). Given that Legends of Tomorrow has now told us that the meteors that gave Carter Hall and co their powers was from Thanagar, we know that they're not afraid to reference aliens, so Hal Jordan and the Green Lanterns are not out of the question. Either way, with the appearance of Hour Man at the end of Legends of Tomorrow, I'm excited at the prospect of the Justice Society of America!

Ok; enough nerdiness for now. What do you guys think? Any other references that I've missed that might lead to other characters that I may have missed? Thoughts on DC's TV lineup and how they might interact?

USA is like 2weeks ahead of us in UK so some of those things haven't happened yet but your theory sounds good.

Im keen to know what message is he's tapping as Earth 2 Wells' daughter found the pattern didnt she?

I like the way they cross over although they messed the last one up as barry had powers in arrow when he didnt in Flash.

Supergirl needs to stay far away from this universe!
ive seen that the cw president has said with supergirl coming over there will be a big crossover event between arrow flash legends of tomorrow and supergirl
Omg!! You're such a nerd..lol. J/K. You really covered your bases here. So let me just comment a bit. I don't think that Gotham will ever crossover or at least become part of the "Arrowverse" as you call it. I think if it comes down to it maybe a Flash guest appearance, but I think even that is pushing it. I really don't like that universe anyway.

Supergirls move to CW was because of her poor ratings..it was good for about....oh who I'm I kidding, it was never good.. Since we already have a direct connection/crossover with Flash, I could definitely see a Crisis merge, but I hope they fix the Jimmy Olsen issue if that is done.

The admittance of a multi verse really is a game changer, they really could do almost anything they wanted now and get away with it, so your theories on who the man in the iron mask is could easily be correct or not. I like your idea that it's a different Flash though. As for the Trickster..that is something to think about...maybe he found a way through the wormhole already and that's why he's here in this Flash as well as in the older series?

There's also been talk of an event involving Flash, Supergirl, and Tom Welling (Clark from Smallville). I wonder if they are going to make these happen as part of the same story?

Yeah; I can see that. They really tried to slow play the series, up to a point. Once they started up with the Jr Justice League it started to feel a bit rushed. But I still liked it.

Well, like I said, the sure like foreshadowing. The time wraiths; time remnants; and of course John Wesley Shipp as Jay Garrick / The Flash from another Earth. I was close, but just not close enough. Lol And now Barry has gone back and saved his mother, creating the "Flashpoint" event from the comics. How is this going to affect the other two shows? Will they not bother to do their shows in the alternate time line assuming that Flash will restore the time line (a little foreshadowing from the last time he tried when he saw a version of himself tell himself not to)? Will he restore it right off of the bat in the season premier or will this be the Season 3 story?
