Good to know... but I'm just concered with how well a PC device will work on the 360, is all... I hope you don't get buggered for it, Billy...

there arent any official MS keyboards for 360 except the messenger kit which is now £10 cheaper so only £15 now...with game itll be £35 for five games and a keypad. (FFXI and 4 expansions). but this logietech one should work and it only cost and tenner, got it from play.com with free delivery pc world added £5. it was said to work with ps2 so theres a strong chance itll work for 360. ps3 has an official logitech board with a mouse pad for £60 in HMV. ,ooked sick but i dont need it. maybe if an MMO of interest came out.

here it is, and to think that mine is the same without wireless and the mouse and costs £10 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Cor.../dp/B000W9N7JU

Not a bad find, actually mate... I hope it runs smoothly for you... right now, my only gaming venture was I modded Red Faction with all new weapons, like the old Glock and P90, and some other sick skins some sweet folks donated. Lol

That was fun... wait... you can play games with a Keyboard and mouse on a console? Then why the hell aren't all these PC gamers doing it and still upgrading their PC every 20 fucking minutes?

no you can't its only really for messaging and typing stuff. although it can be done on certain games on ps3 from what i here like COD4 and Unreal 3. messaging is what i need it for most though.

I have it for PS2, PC, and 360. But...I sold my 360 after the 4th RROD. So I play this on the PS3 now. Wings of the Goddess is awesome. I swear for everything it's a great expansion.
Why do you say that... I've hear a lot of complaints from other gamers, and a lot of praise, Sai... but nothing concrete and professional.... What's your personal input, and why's it worth it?

I looked up that losing level/xp after death and it happens. Dave must have been a really low level if he constantly went back to lvl one. you just lose a certain percentage after death. but dont know how much.

The game is that of love and hate. As i'll be starting from scratch itll take me a while to be invited to a party as I'll be a low level but once you get better and invited into better parties the game really takes off.

The party system gave me a very good reason to transition to WoW instead. I'm a fan of interaction, but having to wait close to an hour for a party is pushing it. WoW is much easier to solo early in the game whereas FFXI was too dependent on other players and parties.

Anyways, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in since it came up.

yeah ive heard of that through reviews but i feel as hough i should give it a try. i need something different than a shooter for a while. I'm lookign forward to MGS4 but thats only because im interested in its story.

The thing that turned me off WoW was when id be walking down a road at level 8 and id be swarmed by level 50s asking for a duel over and over again to the extent that the mouse cursor was constantly aimed at where "decline" would show up.i dunno i just didnt really get what all the hype was about.

The reason i feel that this might be different is the whole FF universe and story, it comes with a free month and if i find once again that this isnt my thing then ill know to stay clear of MMOs until maybe one is released on consoles with no fee (i know its a "in my dreams" thing) i know a least one is being worked on for PS3 but cant remember for 360. Or maybe skip the genre all together.

hhmmm well it turns out that the 2008 edition hasnt arrived at any shop or internet site. i think ill get the first one and get the 2008 when it arrives.

Great. Just checked all sites that would have and no one does.....gonna go cancel XBL again i guess.

so after a full weak i am finally able to play the game. I must say that as a new player of mum-or-per-gers i am slightly confuddled as of what to do seeing as you get next to no hints even when you ask. so while i let my console cool down ill read the manual. i really doubt that collecting sheepskins is what im meat to be doing for the whole game.

Good to see that you're playing the game. It's insanely addicting once you get the hang of it. I remember the early sheepskin quests but trust me there is much more to the game than that. Man, if only I could remember all of the FFXI stuff. Frown

I'd check out GameFAQs and see what the walkthroughs/guides say.

yeah im going to stick to the crappy and level up before i start to tackle any missions. i have only just started and need to get a feel for it first. i need money to buy stuff first though...

Yeah, typical MMORPG grinding... IT works well, and allows you to reach an adequate lvl for real work...

An old tactic, but always works.

I'm not sure about getting my hands on FFXI, when I started playing it, it didn't appeal to me that much (having been a avid WoW follower at the time) but now that I've seen sense, and become older, I should look to checking it out again.

i found a useful site which is done in a wiki style but all FFXI related so i found a page of my location and a list of quests could prove handy...
