If you didn't already have one, would you prefer the Xbox One with or without a Kinect?
Video games are like life, difficult, frustrating, but most of all, they're fun and rewarding when you slow down and enjoy them.
I'd say without as don't use it now, but if I didn't have it, I know there would be a kinect game I'd want haha.
I wouldn't give mine up. I use Xbox Fitness regularly, as well as using voice commands constantly; not just for in-game, but dashboard, watching tv, etc. So adoptive of it, I almost feel like not having one would be pointless to have the console.

Now, if I had never used one and didn't know what I was missing, maybe it would be different.

To me, it's worth the price just for saying "xbox on". I now wish all my devices listened to me.
Xbox Record That is probably the best function of that device, followed by auto log-on as far as features. I probably won't use the auto log-on as I don't do that currently with my 360, but it's still an amazing feature.

Not sure how the Snap Achievements will go, but that will definitely rise in popularity. I just hope developers don't see that as a reason to stop programming trackers into their games.

I agree with Dacoto, XBOX record that is best feature, which works pretty much all of the time for me.
I agree with what everyone is saying. However, do you think the record feature is good enough? Do you think the last 30 seconds is sufficient? I personally think the PS4 has the Xbox on the record feature as well as being able to take a screenshot anywhere/anytime.

Getting away front he point of the thread though. I love the kinect and play xbox fitness a lot and I think overall the device is very sharp. I enjoy it.

Zombie, 30 seconds is the default, you can do up to 5 mins.
Yeah, but when you say record that, it is a flat 30 seconds, correct? I have to snap record if I want 5 min...unless that changed recently. Dunno, but I thought thats how it is.

I'm pretty sure you are correct. I use snap pretty much all the time so it doesn't surprise me.
Ahhh okay...I thought they pulled a ninja update on me and I missed something. I haven't gotten use to snap yet, even though I have a large TV. Perhaps I will give it a go. Thanks for the info/conversation!

Yeah, being able to say "Xbox On", when I walk in the door from work, it turning on my tv, surround system, cable box for me at the same time, and signing me in with facial recognition from the other side of my apartment is awesome. Same for "Xbox turn off" at the end of the night and shutting everything down. Definitely a little spoiled by it, would have only been something in sci-fi movies when I was a kid. It tracks so much better than the old Kinect, and even works well in low light. I've actually found a couple of games easier with it (Ryse, for one), due to the voice commands working quicker than the controller.

"Xbox On" doesn't turn on my controller or tv. Are you saying it can do that?
I love Kinect :-)

Xbox on can turn on your TV, cable/satellite box, and your receiver. So everything comes on, except my controller, when I say xbox on. Another great feature is when watching videos, and I've used this on many apps, "xbox pause" when I run to the bathroom and then "xbox play" when I come back. I don't need to wait for my controller to come back on.
The voice commands are definitely the selling point for the Kinect. Even if you don't like playing the games that are made for it, it has its features that are very useful.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback.

Even the crappy Kinect v1 had a few moments where it was moderately enjoyable.
