So let me get this straight, Fsh and Futiles believes that the following 'complete' blocks.
  • Complete 3 retail games in a week
  • Complete 5 arcade games in a week
  • Complete 10 arcade games in a month

All of these require you to both start and finish during the competition? If that is true, then I need to go finish (and start) a few more arcade titles but the rest are done. I think that you guys are misinterpreting what Zombie wants. I don't think he expects anyone to buy, start, and finish 10 arcade titles and 3 retail games in a month. So just for arcade games, you think we are supposed to buy and finish a title every 3 days. While you are at it, find time to do the same for three retail games.

Granted, I've nearly done it, but I don't think that was the intention. I believe he just wanted us to finish up our games we already have.

since this is round 3, we need to have two more lines to complete to move on, right? Almost there

3 retails is 3 new games, therefore you will get the 3k in a week also.
3 games in a week is just finishing up games, arcade or retail, just finish 3 games.

Arcade is:
XBL, Win8, anything like that.

I already figured to win this contest would cost me three times the prize...
I think the only confusion is in the retail games square, so that is 3k for that round, new titles. I was hoping people would rent them vs buying them. Yes, it could pose a problem, but competitions aren't suppose to be easy.

If a square says "finish up" that simply means finishing off remaining achievements in games you have.
Video games are like life, difficult, frustrating, but most of all, they're fun and rewarding when you slow down and enjoy them.

I thought we already answered that question on the arcade games? An arcade game is anything on XBL, Windows phone etc

There are a ton of free gams on WP and the like.

So, I throw this out there, go ahead and give me the win since I'm apparently the only one that is willing to pay the price and effort to get all of the spaces. Zombie can work on the next version using feedback from this one about things people don't like.

I really like the concept of this contest. I'm looking forward to the next one when all the rules are ironed out.

So Fshguy you have started and completed 10 arcades that you had 0 gamerscore in? Congrats

I was counting ones that I had already start long ago and finished.

I should mention, I had a traumatic experience with Red Johnson, it's listed as a 1-2 hour game, but it's more like 5-6 hours. I missed reading the achievement that says you have to play the whole game without missing a QTE on the first try. Not to mention the horrible laggy "8-bit" arcade game....

For the record, I already have 8 that I started and finished this round. If we were going just completed I would have more like 13. I don't concede victory that easily Fsh!

And Zombie, we all know WHAT an arcade game is, what has been asked repeatedly (and I don't know how to ask it any differently) is do we have to never have played the game before? And your comment that there are plenty of free arcade games is not a good reasoning, they are free, everyone gets them when they come out and as Futiles said, the free to play are generally really long titles.

I should warn you, I have experience with this sort of thing. Currently hanging behind me is this..

There were about 300 people in there, we won three times that night (two me personally). I won my wife some spa gift certificates, and my daughter a huge basket of 'fairie' stuff.

Yes, arcade titles are 10 over the course of the competition, and they are fresh titles...like Fsh has done.

As I stated previously, this competition was the first, and it was going to be bumpy. I knew that. I appreciate all the feedback, criticism, and comments. I will take them and incorporate them in the future. I am hoping to have at least one other person on the events staff by then. You know who you are! I hope it happens, soon.

As far as the next round, yes, there will be a bonus. Everyone will be able to receive it, if done correctly and in time.

At the final two we have discussed a "face-off" of sorts. We decided the final two will determine the circumstances i.e. play x game against one another, point grab total etc. We will cross that bridge when we get there and with the appropriate personnel.

Futiles, did you actually call VINGO for the last spot? I have not received an email to confirm the card etc. If it is a valid VINGO, please send me the email. Thanks.

To the rest of you, thanks for participating and making things better for the future.

I'm playing Minecraft Xbox One with futiles right now, 2/4 co-op done.
