I'm guessing someone knew the meaning. Apparently you also knew the meaning and were willfully in violation of the code of conduct/terms of service. Just because they didn't get to you right away doesn't mean you would fly under their radar forever. All it takes is one person to report you and a review by their enforcement team.

Call BS all you want, but learn your lesson and follow the rules now.

It would have been addressed the same way, so, using a scientific term for a specific bowel movement in no way changes the situation.
Bummer It can be a vicious cycle, I used to have a freind who would be forceed to change the name almost every week.

"Other people are doing it" doesn't work as an argument when you get pulled over by the cops, and it doesn't work here either. You can always report an offensive gamertag if you see so many of them, and that's clearly what happened to you. I've noticed reporting is far more effective than it used to be, so it was only a matter of time.
So how do we go about reporting inappropriate gamertags on GTN?

So think up of a new tag and move on or make another tag that is even more offensive and lets see how long that tag will last.
Wo, calm down here, please lets not escalate this. Obviously he's had the gamer tag for quite sometime and when something you know is changed especially if it "was yours" then he has the right to vent a bit and that's what he's doing. Honestly I never knew what that tag meant until about a year ago and while not so offensive to me, I can see where it could be offensive to others. Unfortunate that you picked a name like that and you got called out on it. Lesson learned. Its not all about the gamer tag, yes it a big part of your online identity, but look at it this way, now you have a new lease on going into a MP match and most hardcore players not knowing you on that particular game: WoT, Gears comes to mind since I know you play the hell out of those.

Why would you want your online identity be associated with feces anyway?
I can say that I would personally report a GT that goes against the rules, coz when I played WoW I played on the type of servers that are very strict on naming policies. To avoid getting your GT changed use a name that aren't offensive and follows the naming policies (I'm member of the ambassadors and use the Xbox Enforcement daily, and have reported about 20ish names since the start
