I am curious to know the listening habits of others. Me personally, I will have music playing about 12 hours a day.

Usually only when working outside. I slap on my beats headset and listen to MP3s on my iphone when I'm weed eating, mowing, splitting firewood, etc. So during the spring, summer and fall I listen to music at least 2-3 hours per day. Winter - next to never...maybe a half hour or so if I'm out driving.

i have my music loaded up on a memory card in my phone and i use it as my stereo in my car via aux, but because my job is driving around because i am on a maintenance crew for the state of utah i have regular radio on all shift
I usually listen to music going to and coming from work everyday. That's about an hour a day total. I use XM/Sirius.
I listen to music when I'm relaxing....
I'm a gamer. Xbox & Windows Gaming Platform.

I used to listen to music on the radio, but then I took an arrow in the knee.
When I get a chance to work in my shop a.k.a. half of a two car garage. I use either my pre smart phone CD radio. Sometimes with my phone I use Pandora.

I listen to as much as possible so any source will do, radio, MP3 and such, just not while gaming.

George Lucas (discussing film, but the parallel to video games is obvious) was working with John Williams on the score for one of the Star Wars films, and his quote was, "In the end, what the audience is really doing, is listening to the music."

Video scoring is so important, so planned, so designed, that it becomes an integral part of the experience. If you are playing a game, you are listening to music.

Next time in front of your television, count the number of seconds during non-live sports content, that you don't have music set to match the emotion of the scene.

Actually. I am being very serious. Music in entertainment is so structured and planned and integral to the experience.
That's one of the givens under Futiles Law.
