I'm thinking about some side projects and I have a couple ideas that I want to play around with, but they may not be useful as scale(meaning it might cost too much to do for a whole site of people).

What information do you find useful and what do you feel like you're missing that maybe nobody has gotten right yet?

For me, I like to see what people are playing, being my friends or what people on the site are playing. But, I'm trying to think a way to make it more concise or informative. If anybody could figure out a great recommendation engine, that would be sweet, but people play for many different reasons, so maybe not the easiest.

I keep on feeling less and less satisfied with xbox.com, but I wonder what could be done to make it better. So, please if you like something or have something like but a new way at looking at what you see, please say it.

BTW, I know I'm treading on dangerous territory, so I will moderate out anything that I feel is a negative comment directed at anybody(Microsoft is fair game though).

Back to the question: the "other" sites cover it completely for me, except for community. I'm here (granted I love badges), for the community. TA has everything I need regarding tracking, stats, and allowing me to see how I'm progressing, plus gaming sessions, streaks and goals. That said, I have been a member there forever and I still have no idea how to navigate their forums. X360A has great forums and people writing guides, but the tracking is weak and the entire UI is dated. I think GTN is better than X360A already as a site, but I worry how it would run and what the forums would be like if we grew to that many members. I suspect I would check out because we would loose the close-knit feel.

Maybe I should rephrase:

What things to you check on a daily/weekly basis? And I know for Kaens, that's just my feed, everybody should do that...

When I look at stats or info, I'm looking for something to motivate me to play games. Test Drive Unlimited glitched out on me and I lost like 25 completed races when I had one left to complete the game. I just had no interest in redoing all the races and it sat there unfinished for some time. GTN had a badge for finishing the game and that was motivation to get it done. Sorry to harp on the subject again, but I miss the genre tracker from 360 voice. That is the only thing that would interest me, otherwise GTN & TA do a good enough job for what I need.

I'm wondering if there are correlations that can be found. If somehow you can find a set of games that interrelate with each other just because they are easy to play. Or if you love Destiny, what other games would you play. The one stat that I miss from 360voice is tracking what is being played. But that's a lot harder to track now since the tracking is very achievement oriented now.

I tend to look at time to beat, time to complete and things of that nature. HowLongToBeat.com, the completion estimates from TA, xboxachievements.org, and to some degree the played time info from Xbox One games.
Bring back the calculator...just with some css coding this time haha

I don't use TA but I use XA for guides which I could get here if we had a guide team in which there job was to post official guides. We need to make this place a one-stop shop!

If I need a achievement I can go to TA until it get better here, but if you get stuck either your looking at youtube for a video or quit until you find some help. We have some good people here if there was a team (since the community is small right now) putting together walkthoughs or mini guides for levels.

What about a notifier of some kind Marv was inquiring about challenges, so say an email when a game you played has new dlc, achievements, challenges.
How about being able to set goals? Like complete x game, or get to x gamerscore? Or competitive goals where there can be variable completion points, such as:

Hotdog races to 470k before Fshguy gets to 700k

or

Hotdog vs futiles: first to complete 25 additional games (from where they are now)
Adding nothing constructive to a thread near you

What exactly is the point of this thread?
