How does the block list work?
Your block list is a function that helps you control how you interact with other users on Gamertag Nation. When you block another user on Gamertag Nation, that user will not be able to add you as a friend or view your profile when logged in. Blocked users do not receive any notifications alerting them to the fact that they've been blocked. However, if a blocked user visits the profile of a user who has blocked them, they will notice they have been blocked.
Some important things to know about your block list:
- Users on your block list cannot be on your friends list. Blocked users cannot send you a friend request, and you cannot send a friend request to a user you have blocked.
- Blocking a user on your friends list will cause you to unfriend that user. If you unblock that user, you will have to friend that user again.
Blocked users cannot:
- Add you as a friend.
- Send Private Messages to you.
- View your profile, activity feed posts, friends list, games, achievements, collections, or videos when logged in.
- Comment on your profile or activity feed.
Additionally, posts from users on your block list will not appear in the activity feed and forums.
How do I add someone to my block list?
You can add someone to your block list straight from their profile. Simply follow these steps to block someone:
- Go to the profile of the user you wish to block.
- Click or tap the ellipsis button at the top of their profile.
- Select Block this user from the dropdown menu.
- Click Block to confirm.
How do I know if I have blocked someone?
When you visit the profile of a user you have blocked, the Friends button will be replaced by a Blocked button.
Additionally, the posts of a user you have blocked are hidden in the forums. However, you can temporarily view posts from that user by clicking the View Post button inside their forum posts.
How do I remove someone from my block list?
Removing a blocked user from their profile:
- Go to the profile of the user you wish to remove from your block list.
- Click or tap the Blocked button.
- Confirm you wish to unblock the user by selecting Unblock.
Removing a blocked user from your block list:
- Find the user you wish to remove from your block list.
- Click or tap the Remove icon next to the user you want to remove.
- Confirm you wish to unblock the user by selecting Unblock.
