zoid posted a guide for Terraformer.

Like the description says, you only need to *generate* 15 random sandbox maps. You don’t have to actually complete the game.

Many achievements either require you to play a sandbox game, or are just easier in sandbox versus a campaign mission. You’ll get some progress towards this while going for other achievements, so I wouldn’t bother with this until later.

zoid posted a guide for From Knight to Little Duck.

Playing through the campaign will get you a good amount of progress towards this, but probably not enough to complete it.

You can build unnecessary bridges to nowhere during campaign missions, or just start up a sandbox game on a map with multiple islands and make bridges until it unlocks.

Building bridges is pretty easy, you just use the regular road building tool. Only tricky thing is remembering to not start the bridge too close to the shore. You need to be a couple squares away from the water to start your bridge properly.

zoid posted a guide for One Does Not Simply Stage A Coup.

Start a sandbox game with a $200k treasury, in World Wars era (or later, I did Cold War), and 50 starting population.

Your palace guards will never side against you in a coup attempt, so upgrade your Palace to get 4 more guards and max the budget to increase their combat effectiveness. Don’t build any other military buildings.

Now you need to upset the Militarist faction, which you can do by building Embassies. I quickbuilt a dozen of them and that was enough on medium difficulty, your results may vary based on your settings.

You’ll know you’ve built enough when you get an Ultimatum from the Militarist faction. Make sure all 8 job slots at your Palace are filled, then abandon the Ultimatum, which will trigger the coup attempt.

The Palace guards should be more than capable of fending off the coup, although you may need to wait for them to arrive at the Palace. The achievement will unlock as soon as the attackers are defeated.

zoid posted a guide for Synchronized and deadly.

Pretty easy to get this with a co-op partner as long as you’re able to synchronize your shots via party chat.

This doesn’t need to be particularly stealthy either. A friend and I unlocked this by simultaneously shooting 2 enemies who were in direct view of a third.

zoid posted a guide for Tea first.

This can be unlocked right at the start of the game in a small tutorial. Pick up the teapot and use it on the teacup. Then pick up the milk and use it on the teacup. Easy.

Start up a new game and do it the other way around to unlock Milk First too.

zoid posted a guide for Don't Panic!.

This will require a bit of a grind but fortunately, like many Tropico achievements, it can be unlocked in sandbox mode. Start up a new game in Modern Times with unlimited money, and the difficulty turned down if you like.

Quick build a couple solar plants, a few research labs, and the space program. Upgrade everything, max the budgets, and hire foreign workers to fill all slots. Once you have 5,000 Knowledge points saved up, go to the space program and launch a prestige mission. It says it takes one year but on max budget and staff it should only take 240 days.

Once the mission is complete, there is a chance to get a special event. You’ll know it you get it because Penultimo will say something and you’ll get the achievement. Keep running space program prestige missions while quick building whatever you need to keep people happy. Every prestige mission increases approval by 5, so that will help.

It took me about 25 in-game years to finally get the special event, but part of that time was spent setting everything up and I didn’t always start the next mission as quickly as I could have. Just keep those Knowledge points rolling in so you can fire off a new mission every 8 months and you’ll get this eventually. I got it after about 15 missions.

zoid posted a guide for Sublime Subliminal Supreme.

Start up a Sandbox game starting in the Colonial Era. (If you don’t have the Watch The World Burn achievement yet, set the win condition to advance to World Wars Era.) Start with $200k treasury, 50 population, and lower the difficulty.

Buy the upgrade for the Palace (4 more troops) and build at least one - I built 2 - Forts. Max the budgets and wait for the job slots to be filled.

If the Revolutionaries send you any requests, complete them, and take the “10 Revolutionary immigrants” reward. These should be easy requests like build a tavern, produce 1000 corn, etc.

Go into your Almanac, then find your list of Royalists. Pay $3k to put a Kill order on as many of them as you can. Your soldiers will seek them out and kill them automatically.

Gradually repeat these processes, accumulating more Revolutionary immigrants on Tropico by completing requests, and killing the Royalists who show up on each freighter. Eventually the achievement will unlock.

I had 80 Revolutionaries, something like 2 Royalists, and a total population of 112 when it popped.

zoid posted a guide for Watch The World Burn.

Easily done in a Sandbox game starting in the Colonial Era with the win condition set to advancing to the World Wars Era. Turn the difficulty down if you like.

You can’t build Fire Stations in Colonial, so you’re not required to consciously avoid them. All you need to do is advance to World Wars like any other game.

(I combined this with Sublime Subliminal Supreme and got two achievements in one game.)

zoid posted a guide for Public spirited.

Early in the Prologue you will be on the street outside a pub. There will be two glass bottles on the ground near a pig sailor - pick them both up.

zoid posted a guide for T.A.I.L..

From the main hall of the mansion, go down the right corridor into the Study. Read the newspaper on the table.

zoid posted a guide for I'm Sorry, Dave.

Very easy. Just zoom in (click RS with default control settings) with any non-scoped weapon, like the Assault Rifle, Shotgun, etc. and wait for a moment.

The easter egg is the binary code seen in the bottom left corner.

zoid posted a guide for Mind the Skill Gap.

Load up rally point Bravo on Tip of the Spear (any difficulty) and drive the Warthog a short distance until you get to the building. There's a yellow container up on top of the building with "BXR" on the side. Look at it and the achievement should unlock.

zoid posted a guide for Easy to Overlook.

Just find the radio on the Boardwalk map and wait by it for a moment. Can be done in a local game, no matchmaking required. You can get "Confused Callouts" on the same map as well.

See this video by Halo Completionist for a guide to both achievements:

zoid posted a guide for Confused Callouts.

Just requires going to the "Make Out Point" location on the Boardwalk map. Can be done in a empty local game, no matchmaking required. The "Easy to Overlook" achievement can be unlocked on the same map as well.

zoid posted a guide for New Ways to Save a Quid.

In the New Alexandria level you have a chance to get a side objective where you escort Sgt. Buck's Falcon across the map. If RNG is on your side, Buck will radio asking for assistance and the achievement will unlock.

You can increase your odds of encountering Buck by playing co-op with 3 or 4 players (according to the Halopedia)

zoid posted a guide for Collection Eligibility Confirmed.

Unlocked in the Pillar Of Autumn level. At the end, after you use the MAC gun to fight off the Covenant there's a cutscene. As the Pelican dropship lands, look to the right to see the Master Chief in his cryo pod.

zoid posted a guide for Everyone's a Critic.

This is unlocked during the Gilded Cage case. None of these books are particularly hard to find if you know where to look, and are all in locations you'll need to visit during normal progression through this case. I'll keep it somewhat vague to avoid spoilers.

The first book is found in the Gilden house, in Imogen's room upstairs on the left. The book in near her luggage, by the dresser.

The second book is found in the workshop at the yacht club. There's a storage room inside, look in the corner by some crates.

The third and final book is at the archeological dig site. Follow the path until you see the stairs leading down to the beach. Before you reach the stairs, there will be some baskets and boxes off to the left. The book can be found there.

zoid posted a guide for Does Whatever a Spartan Can?.

I unlocked this near the end of Kizingo Boulevard while going for the par time on Easy difficulty.

A Phantom will drop off a Wraith and you should be able to get fairly close before it sees you. Board it with X, and instead of pressing LT to plant a grenade, repeatedly press RB to melee the Wraith. On easy it only took a half-dozen bashes to destroy it.

(Like many Halo MCC achievements, this may not unlock for you on the first attempt. It didn’t work for me first try, but it’s not a matter of needing to play on a certain difficulty. Just try again if it doesn’t unlock.)

zoid posted a guide for Interloper.

Not too bad at all. Par time is 15 minutes. I did it in about 11 minutes first try, and I’m not exactly a championship Halo player.

As always with these par time achievements: play on Easy, and run by enemies unless you *need* to kill them to proceed.

Video walkthrough (credit to the Halo Completionist): https://youtu.be/NnQEdDX9Xvk

One tip he mentions in the video that I didn’t know before - you can “reset” your sprint ability by jumping, then doing a melee attack in midair. Not sure how much time it saves, but it definitely seemed to help.

zoid posted a guide for Illuminated.

This is basically a story progression achievement.

You need luminaries to advance at several points, and many of them are impossible to miss, especially early on. Don’t sweat this.

(There’s also no achievement for collecting all luminaries, so don’t worry too much about missing one.)
