I Am Kernholio posted a guide for Professional.

This will most likely be the last or 2nd to last achievement you'll unlock. You'll probably won't end up having to grind this achievement and will likely earn it while going for the "Finisher" achievement for completing the 45 challenges. By the time I reached 500 levels played, I had 2 challenges left to complete. One thing to know though is that you do not need to complete a level for it to count towards the 500. Once you start a level you can literally restart or quit the level immediately and it will still count as a level played towards the achievement. So if mess up while attempting one of the level challenges, don't feel that you need to complete the level anyway, save yourself the time and just restart. I would say most of the levels that were counted as completions when I was playing was because I screwed up a challenge and restarted. The 3 bonus levels also count towards it.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for Disarmed.

    Updated 10-20-2022 12:25 AM
This achievement isn't that bad but it can be a little annoying. Revenants' will be found frequently throughout Barry and Natalia's episodes and are found as early as episode 1. These are the tall, disfigured enemies with several arms and a weak spot that only Natalia will be able to spot with her vision, unless shot at or hit directly by Barry. Some Revenants will have a weapon for an arm, such as the one's that have a big blade like object for an arm. Not all will have weapon arms though but you'll be able to tell the one's that do. Another form of Revenant called Splashers will have a swollen green arm that shoots poison. When you find these Revenants, shoot at their weapon arm until it's shot off, I found it easiest to do with an assault rifle. It can be a little annoying because they do move their arms around a lot and also when they change shape and start running on all fours, making it harder to hit the arm. One important thing to remember is that in order for it to count towards the achievement you have to kill the Revenant after you blow its arm off. Just shooting it off and letting it live and running away after won't count. This was actually the last achievement that I unlocked for the base game achievements since many of the Revenants I did not kill afterwards. I initially thought the achievement was just finicky since many of the arms I shot off didn't count until I realized they had to be killed. Use Natalia to spot where the weak spot is then switch to Barry and shoot at that area and an orange wound will swell up and become visible to kill it the easiest. Continue shooting at it and if it the Revenant will go down in 2-3 shots.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for ...The Harder They Fall.

For this achievement you will need to destroy the 24 Surveillance Airships found throughout SolĂs. The ones you need to desteoy become available when you secure regions and will show up on your map as a yellow diamond with an airship in it. If you're working towards discovering every location in the game (white icons on map) you'll eventually find them all. Destroying them will be a requirement towards completing whichever location it is in. You'll frequently see the blue (sometimes black) slow flying airships during your gameplay however, destroying the random ones will not count towards this achievement, only the ones that are shown on your map when your nearby the town or region. Destroying them is simple and can be done in a number of ways. The best way I found to take them down quickly was by using one of the RPG's, that way it be done from the ground, or using a weaponized helicopter. If you don't have a rocket launcher on you or have not yet unlocked it or a helicopter to be supply dropped, you can take them down by flying any aircraft into it, with your grappling hook, or by flying it yourself and crashing it. Early on in the game that was my go to method for a few of them. Just use your grappling hook along trees, buildings, mountains, etc. Along with the wingsuit and parachute to get you to an altitude where you are close enough to grapple onto the ship and enter it. The controls are simple, RT to ascend, LT to descend, and foward with the left joystick to accelerate. Just fly low enough at top speed and crash into anything, jump out, and BOOM, one down.

Found in level 10. Right away as soon as you start the level you'll see it on the right. Simply jump over and grab it. If you want to complete the level, first jump down to left and grab the red liquid. Jump back up with the spring on the floor in the left corner. Drop the liquid in the container and jump back down to the left again and grab the red liquid again to hold onto. Go back up and flip the switch to turn on the fireballs. Once they destroy the wooden crates blocking your path, flip the switch again to turn them off. Grab the green gear, go to the right, jump up on the spring, and press LT to shoot a fireball to break the crate.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for Safety Warning.

To unlock this achievement you will need to get part of your body caught in the rotating grinder and still jump out to safety without dying. It's really simply, only took a couple tries. What I would recommend doing is turning your body to the side so that you are perpendicular to the grinder. Now jump carefully and try to get either one of your arms or legs caught in it. When it starts to pull you in the mash the jump button to get out. Make sure you aren't facing the grinder when you jump in. Anytime I did, both my legs would get caught and I wouldn't be able to escape.

Very simple achievement. Once you've beaten the final boss and after the credits, you'll be brought back to the main title screen but now you'll see a final boss option at the bottom of the screen. Click on that and you'll be brought to the area you created your player. Click done then choose to be reborn and you'll be brought back to where you first started the game. Run forward and you'll now find a dragon in the parking lot. Approach it and press Y which will allow you to fly him. Press LB will switch between walking or flying. Now just go to the basketball court where the cows and bulls are. Use your fire breathing by holding RB and roast a bull and it will quickly turn into a hamburger. Just do this 4 times.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for Earn your Sea Legs.

Easy achievement that can be done anytime during the game. There are several locations where you'll find sailboat races, just look for one of the green icons on your map. The best place when doing your first race though will be the one in Marin, the city on the Northern most part of your map. Fast travel to the race which is right off the coast between Sausalito and The Gates Houseboats. You will first have to purchase a boat before you can race which will always be in your inventory. There's a sailboat shop right next to race location and an icon on your map. You only need $3K to buy the cheapest boat, the Ocean Breezeway. The most expensive boat costs $120K but I don't think it matters which you buy since the boats don't have any stats or anything listed. If you actually are trying to win, it might take a few tries to get used to the steering, and turning since sailboats aren't something you normally race in games. It's easy though and you should have no problem getting the hang of it. In the bottom right corner of the screen you'll see your boat speed and a bunch of arrows which indicate the direction the wind is blowing. Green arrows show you have your boat positioned right for the fastest speed. You want the wind going in the direction of your sails. Red indicates your aren't positioned in the right direction causing you to slow down or stop. If you're just going for the achievement you don't need to win all you have to do is finish the race.

This is an easy trophy that really is just one of those annoying luck based ones that you'll either find the opportunity to unlock without having to look around at all or you might have more trouble finding it. The place most guides will say, and where I unlocked it myself, was right near the coast of Jack London Square. After several times of playing and taking a little time to look all around the coast of Jack London Square for someone vomiting I still didn't have any luck. When I was able to finally able to find someone, it was literally right after fast traveling to the location. If you look on your map there's a bar you can fast travel to called the Wild's Club (it won't have the name on the map it will just say bar, in case your looking you're looking for it). You can go during the day or it night, it doesn't matter when. I found someone during the day. Keep an eye out right after fast traveling since this when players wil usually have the best luck. Look for someone bending forward and be ready to take out your camera since it will happen kind of quickly and can be easy to miss. Another option is to take out your drone and fly around with your camera equipped. If you don't see anyone sometimes you'll hear them if they're close by. This wasn't the case for me though, the lady didn't make a sound. As long as you take the picture before the person walks away you should unlock it. Even if they are done puking and starting to stand up you'll be fine.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for The Convict.

Before loading up the RV and leaving Trumbull County for the third time, make sure you are playing as a character you will want the most in level 3, such as your best hero. Unlike reaching level 2 where you were able to bring 5 other people, this time it will only be you and Lily leaving. Also make sure to go through every character you aren't bringing with and transfer all items in their personal inventories into your main inventory otherwise they will be lost. Plus the added score to your influence won't hurt. Once you reach level 3 you'll want to start unlocking characters and finding survivors right away and find a new home base. With only you and Lily in your community, your options will be limited. I chose the Alamo at first just to have a homebase but didn't stay there long. Once I got more survivors in my community I moved to a better place. The best place would probably be the Snyder Warehouse which you'll need 10 survivors and 50 materials to relocate to.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for The Friend.

Before leaving Trumbull County in the RV, you will have to choose 5 other players to go with you on the RV, plus the character you are playing with, plus Lily for a total of 7. All other characters will be left behind. Make sure to go through all characters that are being left behind and dump all the items that they have on them into your main inventory, otherwise you will lose them. It will also add to your influence score and having that number up is always good. If you have more than 6 survivors in your community, make sure to choose the best characters such as heroes and other members with special skills to go with you on the RV. Any character with expertise in construction, medicine, or cooking is also worth bringing as it well allow you to upgrade certain facilities once you find a home base.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for Mercy Shot.

If you happen to miss the opportunity to unlock the Mercy Shot achievement with Alan in the main campaign (like I did) or you don't want to do it twice, I would recommend saving it for your Breakdown playthrough, as it is a requirement to unlock one of the hero characters (Alan) and since there is an achievement for unlocking all the heroes, you'll have to do it anyway. While I was playing the main story, I did get the calls that the pastor was sick, that Alan killed him, and that Alan was sick. I messed up though by bringing Alan on a couple missions afterwards and leaving him out there and I didn't stay close to home base. I ended up getting the story line where you meet Alan in a secluded spot and he shoots himself.
If you decide to unlock it during your Breakdown playthrough it might be a little more difficult to get the mission to trigger but shouldn't be a problem if you do it right. First of all, you'll want to make sure that you do not have any type of medical facility built at your home base and you will not want to bring back any medical supplies back. Bringing back individual medications and snacks is okay just don't bring back any crates. You will not be able to unlock this achievement by trying to do it with any of the heroes, playable characters, or any member of your community that has full trust in you and is shown as being your friend. It's best to do it with new survivors that you find. If yiu don't see any on your map that need help, you can ask Lily to radio to any survivors and offer shelter to them. Now you'll want to try any get one of these members sick. The best way is to find a Zed Huht mission where a Bloater needs to be located and killed. If one of those missions aren't available, drive around until you find one. Once you do, run it over and make sure to stay in the car afterwards until all the Bloater has goes away. Your health will drain very low but don't worry, you won't die. Just make sure to have some meds with you. You can also run over survivors repeatedly or let them get attacked by zombies to help get them sick, just make sure you don't kill them. It shouldn't be long until they start to get sick. It might start as a cough or fever but should progress to them being gravely ill. After that happens, it still might take a little while for the Mercy Shot mission to appear. For me it took a couple days (real time) until it finally triggered. Since it can take a little time and since you won't have any medical facilities built, just know that it probably will spred throughout your community and many of your survivors might get sick. I would recommend to try avoid unlocking heroes if you can during this process since they are the best characters in the game and you'll want to keep them alive if you can. By the time Mercy Shot popped up for me, I had 16 community members, 13 of which were sick and probably half of which were gravely ill. I had 1 playable character and 1 unplayable that were okay. Then of course the last being Lily. You can still use playable characters that are sick however, their health and stamina will drain a lot faster, and it won't take long until their stamina is pretty much completely drained and they'll need to rest. After Mercy Shot was available for the first time, 2 more popped up right after. If more pop up afterwards and you want to try and keep that character alive, make sure to choose that they either have to leave the community (when I did they refused) or to hold out hope on recovery. would definitely recommend immediately building a medical facility, fully upgrading it is possible, and bringing back medical supplies right away after unlocking the achievement. If you are able to upgrade to medical lab, you'll notice that members of your community will start to get better. You still could lose some of your community, but even some that became gravely ill fully recovered. Even people who trigger the Mercy Shot mission can recover, just make sure to have those facilities built and supplies brought in.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for Order at DZ.

There is actually an exploit in the game that can make supply drops easier to intercept. Every so often during the game, Lily will contact you over the radio about a mysterious signal being broadcasted and will recommend you should check it out. She'll provide the location on your map which will most always be in an open field or on a farm. At the location there will be a crate you need to loot at least one item in order for you to be credited for intercepting the drop, you don't need to loot everything for it to count, but I would highly recommend it since these drops will contain up to about 4 crates of ammunition and supplies and some of the best weapons and guns in the game that you won't find looting normally. You can just go intercept the drop normally however, it can get a little hairy since there will be a good amount of zombies, often times feral, bloaters, and juggernauts that can make looting difficult. A loud beacon will be broadcasting at the location which will not only attract zombies from a further distance, but continuously respawning more putting you at high risk to get killed.
Now on to the exploit. Whenever you get the call from Lily, look on your map and make a good mental note of the location of the drop, you'll need to remember where it is. Now instead of going to intercept it, start one of the side missions on your map. It doesn't matter which one you pick, but I found it best to do one where you'll be with another survivor and have to transport them somewhere. Zeds Hunt, Seek and Destroy, Friendly Survivors, Morale Issue, Anger Management, I'm sure I'm missing some but any will work. Whenever you start a mission time basically stands still. Noone in your community will die or go missing, your resources won't dwindle, and you won't fail or lose the opportunity to complete missions because you didn't have time to get to them. Before you complete the mission you started, you'll want to head to the location of the supply drop. Since you've started a mission, the supply drop location will not be shown on your map. This is why you'll want to remember where it is beforehand. Drive to it and you'll notice that beacon won't be broadcasting and there won't be nearly as much infected around giving you the opportunity to loot without the added stress of struggling harder to stay alive. Whichever way you chose to do it, make sure to drive a truck or SUV so you have more inventory space. Once you've grabbed what you want, complete the mission you started. Once completed, you'll notice that the location of the drop will be marked again on your map. In order to get credited for the drop to count towards the achievement, you'll need to drive back to the supply drop. However all you need to do is drive within close range of it, you won't even have to get out of your vehicle and it will show that the supply drop has been completed. Do this once and the achievements yours! Repeat the process 4 more times to earn the "Letters from Cleo" Achievement.

Also to remember, backing up over enemies or open door kills won't cause damage to your vehicle, in case you don't have a mechanic in your community or facility built. Running over enemies head on will cause damage to your vehicle.
4 out 5 of the freak zombie types can be killed easily by running over them just once with a vehicle. Juggernauts can be a little more difficult. The achievement did not unlock for me ehen making the kill just by ramming into him several times. I had to actually run him over once he was down for it to unlock. So knock him down then quickly run him over to make the killYou'll want to be driving a truck, even better a military truck, or at least a SUV. Juggernauts are tough and driving a vehicle will grab the attention of nearby zombies so using a coupe or sedan will break down completely pretty quickly when taking one on which will leave you exposed and possibly torn to shreds if there isn't another vehicle nearby to escape in. Running into juggernauts will completely destroy your front or rear tires depending on which way you run them over, so it's best to back over them over if you can so you can still escape afterwards.

I Am Kernholio posted a guide for School of hard knocks.

You could earn this just through natural gameplay but there are ways that help get it quicker if you choose to do so. The best way I found to raise your XP the quickest was by playing the Prologue over and over, killing all the zombies. You gain a lot more XP for kills in the Prologue than you do in the main story. If choose to replay it, DO NOT finish the level by running to the storage room. Once you get the call that the infected are after you and to run to storage room, run down the hall enter the third door on the left. There will be a zombie right at the entrance to the room so do a jump kick to quickly knock it down since three infected will be chasing you. Jump onto the bed in the room where you'll be safe and the infected can't get to you. Now just do jump kicks to knock them to the floor and just stomp them to death. For each kill you'll notice you gain a good amount of XP. Kill the rest of the zombies in the game. One will spawn at the entrance of the room, take a right, back the way you came and you'll find 5 in the area going out to the balcony. Once killed, turn around and take a right, where the initial infected chased you from and you'll find 2-3 more will have spawned. Once they all have been killed, press and quit the game. Now just play over and over and you can have level 50 reached within several hours. It does get a little tedious so I would recommend acquiring any skills that increase the amount of XP you can gain as well as any skills that decrease the amount of rage to activate Fury since using it will gain you even more XP, I would recommend using Fury anytime you can. Any skill that increases the duration of Fury will help. I also would definitely unlock the stomping skill when you can, so you don't have to be constantly kicking or slashing a weapon (if found) at them to make the kill.
Another way to raise your XP a little faster but in the main game are the Continuous Event, If you're in the area of any of them go ahead and give them the items you have, but I wouldn't go out of my way or focus on any except Svetlana's Continuous Event for bringing her Brand Champagne. For each bottle you'll gain 1,000 XP and a Diamond, which can help gain you some cash or create the Developer's Mods. Brand Champagne will mostly be found in the super market in Act II and in the laboratory in Act III. I would grab as many as you can throughout your playing and once you reach the point of no return, go to her and drop all that you have off. This method isn't as quick as the first, and you have to listen to her talk each time so it gets really tedious and annoying to not be able to just button mash X, you'll probably want to mute your volume!

One thing I would highly recommend doing, especially if you're playing in the harder arena's, is to load up on Exploding Meat as well as gathering or buying as many of the materials to make them as you can before going in. If things start getting too chaotic (which they will especially in the hard and very hard arenas) and your being swarmed by enemies, throw some Exploding Meat close by and all the zombies will stop in their tracks and move towards the meat. After about 10 seconds, BOOM. I found this was the best way to avoid being attacked by an overwhelming amount of enemies and to kill multiple enemies at once. While playing the arenas you won't swap items from your overall inventory, you'll only have access to the weapons that you are carrying. This why I suggest loading up on the materials to make Exploding Meat because you will be able to create more if you run out. Each inventory slot can hold up to x30. I'd also recommend having a modified rifle or pistol on you and loading up on the materials to make the Rifle Ammo Blueprint or Pistol Ammo Blueprint, enemies are weaker in the arenas so a gun will take them down in 1 or a couple shots so this is another good way to pick off enemies from a distance so you aren't swarmed.

A good place to earn this achievement is at the coordinates X:754.7, Y:654.6 at the Southeastern corner of North Island. There's a Relic at those exact coordinates that you will have to swim deep down in the ocean to get, more than 60m. If you don't have the Deep Dive syringe available you might not make it back to the surface in time and die after grabbing the Relic, you can make it if you swim fast enough but if you do end up dying that's okay, it won't void the achievement or anything.
