porschephiliac posted a guide for Leveraging Resources.

Near the start of chapter 2, Petra will take you to her secret hideout and instruct you to make a new stone sword. Instead, make a lever by placing a stick in top left corner and a cobblestone block underneath it. She'll banter at you and the achievement will unlock. Then you're allowed to make the sword with more materials.

porschephiliac posted a guide for Stage Coach Complete.

This level is actually quite entertaining. You start off on horse in the lead of a stage coach heading to a nearby town. You must stay ahead of the coach and kill any enemies who threaten it. You will have about 3 or so choke points of enemies, and then you will be forced to get off your horse to find some TNT and destroy a barricade in your way. After doing so, you will have another long trip of several choke points in which you will need to eradicate the enemies before they destroy the coach. After a while, you will trip a cut-scene, and then you will find yourself riding on top of the stage coach for the last stretch of the mission. Again, you will have several choke points of enemies, and some, if not killed soon enough, will climb on the coach and fist-fight with you. Eventually you will reach the other town and the level is finished. Achie pops immediatly.

I had lots of fun doing this level, you will too!

porschephiliac posted a guide for Quick Killer Complete.

Alright, you'll start of talking to a dude, and then you will have to run down underneath the bridge and kill some Indians. After you kill them, cross under the bridge and kill some more. Once you are clear on the other side, start heading down the hill on the other side and be weary of gun-toting baddies trying to kill ya. Once they are cleared, a platform will come towards you. Hop on it, and press Y to move it to the middle. Just before you get there, some Indians will pop up with torches to light some TNT barrels. Kill them before they do, and then follow the button prompts to throw the barrels into the river. Once that is clear, get on the platform and be weary of another group of baddies with guns and flaming arrows. Kill them and run back to the top of the bridge to tell the guy everything is okay. But wait, there's more! (hah hah) Once that is done, some baddies will shoot flaming arrows into a stack of TNT that you must quick-draw to stop. Once 2 waves of that are over, a boss fight will ensue. Use the shotgun and make sure to drink up for health.

Simply finish the first level, which is mostly a tutorial.

porschephiliac posted a guide for Hardcore.

All you have to do is play any career on Hard difficulty and finish only the gigs you do not have to pay for. The achievements are stackable, so playing a harder difficulty will unlock the ones below it.

    Have fun!

porschephiliac posted a guide for The Experience.

You have to play through the guitar career in order to play as Jimi Hendix, and it will unlock after the song in which you play him in. It's about the 8th or 9th set you play.

porschephiliac posted a guide for Motorcity Madman.

You will unlock the Nuge when playing the guitar career, after you finish the set in which you battle him. He costs $10,000, so what I did was buy him, play a song and then exit to dashboard so I can have that 10K back for the other characters.

porschephiliac posted a guide for One of a Kind Axe.

This achievement is pretty easy to get, and that's why it's worth only 5 points. All you have to do is customize the instrument while either creating a character or adjusting a current one. The cheevo pops once you hit save.

porschephiliac posted a guide for Night in the Ruts.

In order to earn this achievement, you must fail the same song ten times. Start a song on expert and when it starts just strum to fail. Repeat nine more times, and the cheevo is yours.
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for Combination.

This achie is easily earned over Live or Local play. Collect enough star power for both to activate it at the same time and make sure you have a 4x multiplier each, so that it doubles to 8x. This will come quick for most players in a co-op match.
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for Cryin'.

This one is kinda hard, but easier if done with a buddy who you know is decent at the game. There are a few songs that have 600 notes on Medium difficulty, so I would suggest trying that first. The streak counter counts both players' streaks, so it's virtually a 300 note streak individually.
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for When I Needed You.

This one can be tricky. During a co-op song, best with a buddy, you need to collect start power and activate together 3 times in one song. It is easier to do on easier difficulties.
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for Let the Music Do the Talking.

Gold star rating only pops up when the song is completed with 100% of the notes hit. Now, with a buddy, complete a song with 100% notes hit in a co-op song, and the cheevo pops. It works for the easy setting if you're having trouble.

EDIT: DynafireSH and mattclarkie confirmed that only the player wanting the achievement has to obtain 100% notes hit, and the buddy doesn't need to. Theoretically, you could turn on the no-fail cheat and do it by yourself without a buddy. Thanks DynafireSH and mattclarkie! (unconfirmed)

porschephiliac posted a guide for Soul Saver.

Alright, this one is quite tricky. It is best done with a buddy. Set up an online ranked match and have you buddy look. There's not many folks playing the game, so it should be easy. Play the mode and try to tie during it. The Death Drain will appear during a 'overtime' mode that will happen if there is a tie. In order to get the cheevo, just use that power-up and defeat your opponent. (Then help him/her get it too!)
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for Gems.

The best way to ensure you earn this achievement, is to play on an easier difficulty then usual, and never activate star power. Activating star power eliminates a possible power phrase in the song, IE, if you've activated it, an existing power phrase may be lost. You will probably get this one early in normal play.

porschephiliac posted a guide for Walk This Way.

Once you reach 'Walk this Way' during the career mode, you will unlock DMC to purchase as a character. He costs $15,000, so I suggest buying him, unlocking the cheevo, and then exiting to the dash board before the game saves, that way you have that 15K to use for buying all the guitars.

porschephiliac posted a guide for Big Ten Inch Record.

    There are a total of 11 extra songs that you purchase from the vault, here's a list;
    • Combination
    • Joe Perry Guitar Battle
    • Kings & Queens
    • Let The Music Do The Talking
    • Mercy
    • Pandora's Box
    • Pink
    • Rats In The Cellar
    • Shakin' In My Cage
    • Talk Talkin'
    • Walk This Way
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for Back in the Saddle.

This one is fun and easy. Eventually you can have the option to unlock and purchase both characters. Get in a cop-op match with a buddy, either online or off, and pick the two characters. One must be Tom, and the other Brad. Now, finish a song, and the cheevo pops.
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for Fallen Angels.

This one is rough. You can do this alone or with a buddy, but it is much easier with a buddy, either online or off. Pick a song and play it perfectly on Hard, and make sure you know when the song is about to end. Just before it ends, strum your guitars fast enough that you fail the song before the last few notes. It takes near perfect timing, but is very doable.
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for Nobody's Fault.

This achievement is quite easy to get by yourself or with a buddy. Just start a new song on expert, strum until it fails, and when it asks to retry song, rinse and repeat 4 more times and the cheevo locks. Just plug in a 2nd controller, etc... and make sure it's a regular co-op song.
  • porschephiliac

porschephiliac posted a guide for Deuces Are Wild.

Alright, you can either earn this achievement by playing every song with a buddy, or, you could turn on the no-fail cheat and play every song by yourself.

    1. Select "Options", "Cheats", "Enter New Cheat" from the Main Menu.
    2. Strum each note or chord to unlock "No Fail" Mode.
    3. Pressing G from the "Cheats" Menu will disable this cheat.

    G + R, B, G + R, G + Y, B, G + Y, R + Y, O, R + Y, G + Y, Y, G + Y, G + R

Make sure you play a few notes on each instrument, for good measure.

EDIT: You should probably include to go to Multiplayer > Co-op in the guide considering half the commenters are confused about this.
For what it's worth, I did NOT have to do this in one session, I did NOT have to hit any notes on EITHER controller, and I did NOT have to keep both players on the same difficulty (The Elven Jedi's solution, while confusing, is correct). I did have to turn the cheat off and fail a song -- this last step should be in the guide, not just the comments.
