Don’t bring a fist to a gun fight

PUBG has popularized the Battle Royal game type. Respawn, the creators of Titanfall is one of the latest to followed suit with Apex Legends. I already loved this science fiction world setting to begin with, so this was a perfect introduction into the fast paced game play. Your team drops from an airship into the killing fields with 60 players. Picking a good spot is crucial since you will need to land as quickly as possible and find a weapon before everyone else does. Otherwise you will be bringing a fist to a gun fight and you don’t want to be the first team eliminated from the competition. The world, the models, and the weaponry all look great with plenty of skins to unlock and purchase. There is a good mix of character designs spread across four classes with varying abilities that will keep the game interesting. Weapon choices are vast with many attachments, as well as levels of quality that will improve your lethality. Lastly there is the ring. If other players were not enough you will have to contend with ring which closes in on you in timed intervals. This ring forces you to cross paths with other payers whether you want to or not as it gets smaller and smaller after every round. The game also has a cool pinging communication system. Want to join a certain direction, point and tap your RB button. Want to mark a weapon or an enemy’s location to your teammates? Tap your button and your teammates can also acknowledge you in the same manner. It’s a great intuitive system once you pick it up. It’s also fairly easy to say that this game will get your heart pumping as the adrenaline flows through you. The gameplay is fun and fast. You need to be accurate and strategic if you want to beat the other teams to become champions. Every decision you make might be your last.

There are books based on the character as well and just...

  • Before it arrived on the Xbox 360 in 2007, Carcassonne was first created as a board game in the year of our Lord 2000. Interestingly enough the board game was named after a real fortified city that sits on a hill in the south of France and it shares the same name as the games. 1755048507319226772 All three have a commonality that says it’s the Middle Ages. The game is part Matrix in style. You play as an...

  • Puzzle solving is great for keeping your mind sharp and one of the best games to do that with is Microsoft’s version of Mahjong. For those not familiar with the game, it’s a game that originated from China where you match two like tiles from a layered or stacked pile which removes them from the game. The goal is to remove all the pieces by matching them to a similar...
