Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series (Xbox 360)

Patton Oswalt and Minecraft - it ISN'T offensive!

Seriously, has anyone heard Patton Oswalt's stand-up routine? The dude is hilarious, but can be offensive to some listeners, but not me. As soon as our protagonist Jessie starts speaking, I immediately recognized the comedians' voice. I snickered internally thinking about some of his other jokes while enjoying the dialouge crafted for this Telltale game.

We are introduced to the 4 heroes that lengendedly conquered the ender dragon and created a peaceufl world for all to live in. Years later, our hero and his friends embark on a mission to win a build contest. The cliche of characters abound, and the plotline is simple, obviously meant for a wider range of potential audience. The controls are strange at first, but the more quick time events you encounter, the more you adjust to them.

The real fun starts when combat starts, and you're allowed to hack and slash at zombies at whim - briefly. The story is pushed forward in whatever direction you choose, and it seemed to me that the choices made along the games' short chapters didn't enfluence anything later on. Maybe it will in later installments.

However, for an hour to 90 minute completion, it's pretty fun. The characters are engaging, the puzzles distinct (make a lever the first chance you can!) and the antagonist is oppressing. Quite an epic quest! Have fun

  • I have to be honest, I love these Kinect Gems games. They are quick to get into, have fun graphics and the Kinect Interface which, in my opinion, is real immersive. Ski Race is simply that. You run down a hill with certain objectives while going through slalom gates. Simple. You use your body to turn, jump, crouch, and make it through the gates. As you...

  • For only a few dollars, you can buy all the achievements for this craptacular "classic" on both Windows 10 and WP. OR, you can actually try to earn the achievements legit - which can be incredibly difficult. For achievement hunters and completionists, just spend the $3 and get it done quickly.

  • I have to admit that the achievements for this game upon first inspection seemed relatively easy. It wasn't until I was a few hours in when the first one actually popped, and the grind would begin. As far as a top-down semi-simulation game goes, it's simple and generic. The build options are quite extensive, and creative. The animations and color schemes are...

  • Wordament is a superfast, high-intelligence game where you are tasked with creating words out of a 4x4 grid of letters. The more words you make, the higher your score! By sliding your finger from one letter to the next, you highlight the word you're creating, but can only use one letter per word. Once you get past 5-6 letter words, it gets really challenging. The worlds...
