Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition (Win 10)

Cutesy free-to-play dumbed-down version of FF... but not bad.

FFXV Pocket Edition is definitely not the most satisfying gaming experience you'll ever have. The free-to-play structure means, perhaps like me, you bought this game thinking that it was a free 1000gs, since the need to purchase chapters 2-10 is not advertised anywhere until you're inside the game. That being said, for $20 or so, you do get a fair amount of content, so the price itself is not completely unreasonable. You just wish that they were more up-front about the structure.

All-in-all, the game itself is extremely linear, and while the story is decent and there are some fun gameplay options to explore, it's a very straightforward grind to your full 1000gs. It's not the worst way to spend $20, but it's not the best either. If you want to spend $20 to point-and-click your way to 1000gs without much effort, this is the way to go. If you were looking for something free or something more fun, my suggestion would be to look elsewhere.
