Eragon

A perfect example of a bad movie game

While a relatively easy completion, this game suffers from so many flaws. Most obvious are the levels that seem like they were tacked on after the game was finished to increase the amount of gameplay. It doesn't pull you into the story, but in fact it does the opposite, making you just want it to end. The fact it requires 2 playthroughs to complete, just makes it that much worse. The collectibles are fairly easy, as is most of the game, it's just not a fun 1k by the end of it. If you just want an easy completion and don't care about gameplay, have at it.

  • Mass Effect: Infiltrator is a well made, great looking WP game set in the ME universe. The story has you fighting your way through many levels of increasingly difficult enemies, trying to bring down a secret facility that's performing experiments on humans and aliens alike. The controls can take some getting used to, but are quite fluid once you do. There are all of the...

  • As the first game I ever played on a WP, I admit I have a soft spot for this game. It's not exciting or action packed, but it's a simple puzzler that will keep challenging you as you progress through the levels. The best part? It's free. You're presented with a grid of different color flowers, and a row of flowers at the top which you can play one at a time onto said...

  • Another Game Room tie-in, the classic arcade game Centipede is on the WP! For those unfamiliar with it, you try to destroy the centipede that winds its way down in between mushrooms from the top of the screen, with shots hitting it anywhere but its head splitting it into two. Spiders, scorpions and other bugs will occasionally appear, forcing you to think and move...

  • Carcassonne is back, this time for the WP! It's a turn based game, which involves players laying landscape tiles down to create roads, cities, fields, etc., while placing their players on them to secure points. Only one person can lay claim to any one item (road, city, field, etc.), but with a limited number of players to place, strategy is key. It works quite well on the...

  • Xbox has released a new version of the Voice Studio game/app, this time for the Xbox One. It's basically a way for them to collect data to (hopefully) improve speech recognition. It has 8 achievements, worth a total of 50 Gamerscore. It consists of them giving you words/phrases to say, which you then repeat back to the console via Kinect. That's it. For anyone...
