This was the game you were looking for...

Dice has done an amazing job putting this game together. Graphically Battlefront is stunning and you are instantly immersed in the Star Wars universe with all the familiar environments, sounds, music, and characters. The game has two modes, the obvious multiplayer portion of the game and a missions section. The missions consists of solo and Co-Op training missions, Battles, and Survival modes. These non multiplayer modes can be fun and even offers a leaderboard so you can beat your friend's best times. The multiplayer portion of the game offers 10 different game modes in five different environments. The very familiar Hoth, Tatooine, and Endor are represented in exquisite detail. The other two environments consists of the sulfur world of Sullust which is only mentioned in the Return of the Jedi and the battle graveyard of Jakku from the Star Warsney film. The battles can be intense, especially when you are dogfighting in a starship. Ships can quickly come into view only to explode either by your hand or a squad mate's well placed shot. Becoming a hero in the game is another fun aspect that can be overpowering if you are on the receiving end, but at the same time it's an accepted dynamic as you roam the battlefield as one of six iconic Star Wars characters. That is no to say you can't quickly be killed if a group of enemies concentrate their full fire power on you. However getting an iconic character is not easy as they spawn randomly and you are in competition with fellow players to pick up the change token. The game also has negatives to consider. One, you just want more of the game and two is the upcoming $50 DLC. An outrageous amount of money to ask for DLC when the game is mostly just multiplayer.

Update: The DLC was not great and as of now no one plays it at all. The rest of the game modes are fairly active. The game did not last very long on my rotation of games mainly because of the same things that made the game fun made it horrible. There are people who have maximized being a hero and therefore make the game a chore at this point in the game. For example, one time our entire team was pinned down and repeatedly killing in our spawn spot by the bounty hunter hero Bossk who could just launch barrages of explosives into the spawn spot while staying just outside the opposing team's death barrier. This literally made me quit playing the game for a very long time. In hindsight this game should have been so much better then it was.

  • I have to admit that when I started this game I had some preconceptions about what I was to expect from a game titled Firewatch. What I was expecting was some sort of forest simulator where you put out fires. That you would be working for the forest service as a lookout. Keeping an keen eye out for possible fires or smoke in the Wyoming wilderness. I also thought that I...

  • It’s zombies and more zombies for the killing as you play through this top down action adventure shooter. The controls are set up so that you move with the left stick and aim with the right stick. Holding down the right trigger is required to shoot. These controls are easy to master with some practice. You will be able to interact with objects by pressing the A...

  • When you think about the stealth genre in gaming Splinter Cell is one of the games that will immediately come to mind. Conviction is the second installment in the series on the Xbox 360 (fifth overall if you are counting the games on the original Xbox) that is based on Tom Clancy’s character Sam Fisher. There are books based on the character as well and just...

  • Unpacking, it’s a simple task that has been turned into a digital title for the Xbox One. It is a very easy game completion that will increase your gamer score by a good 1000 points. This is a perfect game for little kids as it can be satisfyingly fun organizing your belongings. Parents could make this game a learning moment as well for all those kids...

  • Before it arrived on the Xbox 360 in 2007, Carcassonne was first created as a board game in the year of our Lord 2000. Interestingly enough the board game was named after a real fortified city that sits on a hill in the south of France and it shares the same name as the games. 1755048507319226772 All three have a commonality that says it’s the Middle Ages.
