Touchdown Hero: New Season (Win 8)

Could've been fun, but glitches make it pay-to-win

Touchdown Hero is a fun take on the endless runner genre. In classic 16-bit graphics, your runner must run through back-to-back football fields, dodging defenders along the way and score as many touchdowns as possible. Some of the achievements are very difficult and require some grinding, but it would be pretty absurd to point the finger at Touchdown Hero as if they're the first game to ever include grinding achievements, and of course there's nothing wrong with some difficulty.

The issue with Touchdown hero is its glitches. Glitches will cause your progress to be erased, make you crash in the middle of games, and in some cases, just plain ol' not give you your achievements even once the requirements are satisfied. This leaves you in a situation where your only path to completion is to pay $2.99 to automatically unlock everything. For this reason, Touchdown Hero is actually just a transaction with Microsoft where you're purchasing 200gs for $3 and getting a mildly amusing game as a bonus. So, unless you're going for your Best Week Ever badge, just want a 200 gs boost that you're willing to pay for, or want an easy game to keep your young child entertained while picking up some gs in the process, there's really no good reason to even start this game.
