Evan's Remains

Interesting, well written story but simplistic Puzzle-Platformer, easy completion

As far as puzzle-platformers go, I think I enjoyed playing this game. For all the achievement hunters out there this is an easy and fairly quick completion. It isn't the best I've played, nor was it the worse either. This game does have an interesting and emotional story however, the gameplay is pretty simplistic with puzzles that don't get that difficult. If you just want to get through this game quicky for the 1000g, you can fast forward through all the dialog and you can actually skip all the puzzles. If you go this route, it should take you about 45 minutes to complete. I decided to actually play through the game without skipping the dialog and (most) of the puzzles. I would recommend giving it an actual playthrough, there is a lot of dialog so if you go this route it will take about 2 hours to finish. The 17 achievements in the game are all straightforward and should not pose any difficulty. 11 are progression based and the remaining 6 are missable. Make sure to solve the first puzzle (very simple) as you will earn one for that. You'll get one for skipping a puzzle so do that at any time. There is one for taking 15 minutes to solve a puzzle. Like I said the puzzles aren't too difficult, some of the later ones could take up to that long to get through so you can either wait and let it happen naturally or start any puzzle and just idle your controller for 15 minutes. In order to unlock the "Boquita papá!" Achievement make sure to exit out of the game to the main menu once you reach Zone 4.5. Go to language and switch it to Spanish. Continue playing and once you get to the cut scene where you and Clover are having a picnic it will unlock, but only if the language is in Spanish. After it unlocks you can switch back to English or you preferred language. The "Aurelio" Achievement you will unlock during Zone 6. There will be a cut scene where you, Clover, and Andre are teleported to the room with no exits. Once the scene is over and you have control of your character go left instead of right. You'll be at the end of a puzzle with someone standing on the exit (Evan I think). Wait about 10 seconds until the game auto saves. Exit out to the main menu and continue playing. You will now be at the start of that puzzle. Solve it (again very simple) and the achievement will unlock. After the credits you will be able to continue play through some short dialog and a puzzle. The final achievement is earned by playing through the afte-credits science however, it unlocked for me as soon as the credits were over so didn't have to continue playing after. That's it!

  • If you've played the first Super Soccer Blast game then this one will be very familiar to you. The gameplay, controls, mechanics, design, achievements, and most everything else felt the same. Most of the achievements are the same with the exception of a few miscellaneous ones that are different. Still easy though. It seems like this game might have some framerate issues...

  • This game had an interesting concept but I wouldn't say I had fun playing it. It's a abstract, trippy walking simulator with a constantly changing environment depending on how you move through the game. I liked the artwork, coloring, and soundtrack this game had however it is very brief and pretty linear. He quick and easy 1000g is really all this game...

  • Simpler black and grey Atari side scrolling platformer. It sort of reminded me of something that would have played on the original Gameboy. Basically a new age old school game. Probably not for everyone. But definitely for those who want to top off their gamerscore quickly and easily. About a 45 min-1 hour completion.

  • There are many point-and-click/puzzle games that just feel like a chore to play and the sole purpose of playing is only for the completion. I've played too many of them where I was just looking to blast through the game as quick as possible and couldn't wait to be done with. I can honestly say though that this was not the case with this game. The...

  • A silly 3D puzzle parking game with kicking mechanics. I had some fun at first with this game, but because of the poor mechanics, repetitiveness, annoying music, and several grindy achievements I was ready to move onto another game after a while. In this game you will shift parked cars in different directions to create an open path to get your car...
