Looking at the badge list here:

The last unlocks were from March - which means 8 months where it hasn't worked.

I have acknowledged the confirmation that this is not how daylight savings works

There must be some sort of Canadian conversion going on, where the operative word Friday and the follow-up requisite 13th got lost.

Check customs.

There isn't a Friday the 13 every month.

April 13 - Monday
May 13 - Wednesday
June 13 - Saturday
July 13 - Monday
August 13 - Thursday
September 13 - Sunday
October 13 - Tuesday
November 13 - FRIDAY!


Next Friday the 13 will be May 13, 2016.
