Making good progress on the preparation. I figure at some point I am going to need to get some ACA NEOGEO games. Ideally I would love to have a list of how many points you could expect to earn in 15 or 30 minutes from each game. I might try to compile this based on YouTube walkthroughs. But if you have played some of these games and can say, "I got 800 points in this game in just 15 minutes but the last couple achievements took me over an hour", that would be great.

Know your strengths and yea definitely go for the hard stuff first.

Good luck.
Think about these, I don't trust the NEOGEO ones too much, unless you're really good at fighting games, but even then I've seen people at AF have problems. The number is how long it takes someone from the first achievement scored to the last in hours.

Sure seems like returning to AF after such a long hiatus would help you accomplish this goal...

We miss you.

Don't knock twice can be completed in an hour. But if you want some more preloaded points you can save before the last collectable and then finish the game in 5 minutes for 300 points and another 145 in another 5 minutes using TA guide to glitch your way to the end of the game for alternate ending.

I was going to suggest The Little Acre but looks like you got that 1 preloaded already.

Here is the full list so far. I will be aiming to stay 90% on track. So right now I have 39.8K points ready to go in 20 hours of gaming. So I would expect to actually unlock about 35.8K in that time.

Well looks like your getting a pretty serious game plan, and speaking of serious and it may be a dumb question, but hey I've never been afraid to ask them...lol.. Have you planned the logistics out for this, sleep time, food and bathroom breaks. I really don't want to hear that a gamer died because he stayed up 24hrs straight on energy drinks and fast-food you know.

So if you haven't thought about it.. Are you starting directly at midnight? You'll need to get a good nights rest and maybe get up a little early to prep. Make sure you know your schedule and your limits.. pre make some healthy snacks and get meals ready and planed, yea fast food may be the answer but you may also want to pre make a dinner and or something to take a quick break and maybe even plan for some cat naps, because mark my word, there will come a time when you start to crash and if you try to push it it may spell disaster for your time line. I know plenty of people who say they have crashed and lost time in sessions, hell I've been in a few where people have fallen asleep on us.

Also if if you have multiple boxes and a helper to sue games up for you so you can switch seamlessly and of course know your game and achievements, it may sound dumb, but that many games could get confusing as to what your going for, so print out or have a guide handy for games you may not be sure of, and or like you had mentioned earlier try them out on alternate tags. If your going through this much trouble you may want to ask Guinness to come out? Why not right? I mean think about if you accomplished a world record and then no one was around to verify it? Last but not least, if you are going for some kind of world record, make sure you have a contingency plan in case you are only using one console, what happens in a malfunction half way through your attempt? Not trying to jinx you but its something that should be considered.
This planning is highly impressive. Ive done a 50k week before and thought it was crazy, your attempting to do it in a day. I wish you luck. Im trying for 100k in 30 days so tis the season for epic challenges.
If I recall from other things I've read. Guinness only accepts records occuring on a fresh tag, you even have to show yourself creating the tag. So Laus' plan, while impressive, involves mostly preloading, which wouldn't "qualify".
The fine details are not entirely planned out yet. In 2014 TA held a Winter Olympics event that included most TA score in 24 hours. That could be a good time to pull this off if they do the same thing again in February. In that case I would play from 7AM to 7AM which would be a bit easier than midnight to midnight.

I plan on getting a couple Kickstarter drinks just in case, but will mostly make sure to drink water. For food I will either make a sandwich, grab leftovers, or if my wife is around I know she will make sure I am fed. I will make sure to move around and not just sit in one spot all day.

For set up I will be in my spacious living room. My desktop computer will be used for the Windows games and walkthroughs. My work laptop will be used to show the spreadsheet on the order of games and any notes. I will print these out as well. I should have a Kindle Fire available as a backup for Internet access. My XBox One will be on the main tv and I will bring in the Xbox 360 and secondary tv to set up behind me.

While I will have enough games on the Xbox One to play nonstop I will try to be using the desktop or 360 during loading screens or credits. If the power goes out or a machine dies, so be it.

After nine straight months of preparing games, and closing in on 100 preloaded titles, yeah I am going a bit crazy. I just unlocked 100 points in Tapping Skill Test tonight and I am kicking myself for experimenting with the game on my main tag. I tried to avoid it but I still got an achievement that would have been perfect to save. Yes I am starting to experience some anxiety about achievements unlocking early. It turns out the achievement tracker for Zombie Driver is broken and I unlocked hundreds of gamerscore without knowing it weeks ago. It hurt me a little bit to just notice that yesterday and have to remove the game from my list. But imagine if I hadn't noticed. I would have loaded up Zombie Driver, a game I spent 9 hours carefully priming several achievements to 99% on the tracker, only to have been super confused at the achievements already being unlocked. Something like that is my main concern for this effort. I have to be able to take the curve balls and just move on. If I plan on doing a certain task (i.e. beating Refunct in under 4 minutes) and maybe don't get it on my first or second try, I will be very tempted to keep trying over and over and waste a lot of time.

As far as world record I am ok with it being unofficial (assuming I can indeed pass vSully's 40,000 which is no guarantee). In my mind is a YouTube video set to epic music that is like a 15 minute summary of the day. I don't have much video editing experience but I just want to try to make that hypothetical video come to life. I would need to overlay the time of course and the overall gamerscore earned. Then I would have a keepsake of the event and can happily go back to casually gaming.

I keep telling myself, I started this endeavor because I was barely enjoying the hobby I love. I had no motivation for beating a game. I tried playing games many nights and would quit after ten minutes. It was taking me months to finish a game. This year I have had the thrill of the meta-game restored and I have gotten to experience (99% of) a lot of fun and different games. It is more about the journey than the destination. Though of course I do want to be able to execute the plan to my best ability.

Thanks futiles. We shall see what footage I am able to capture first. The Elgato HD60 capture card arrived today! It runs just fine on my aging i5 pc which is nice. I now get to explore the world of Overlays. So far I figured out how to display the time in a corner of the screen and stream to either Twitch or Mixer. I am not sure there is any easy way to display Gamerscore earned during the stream though. Googling came upon xboxapi.com but I never received an activation email to sign up. If it works like the timer, I would need something running every so often to pull stats and save results in a text file.
