Kind of a cool new feature with Windows 10

So last night i was watching television on thru my Xbox One and playing Microsoft solitaire collection on my laptop with windows 10, when I unlocked an achievement on the PC it popped on the One as if I had earned it playing on the Xbox including trackers and all assorted features we are accustomed to having with One achievements. I was wondering if this is now the case with other platforms as well now or unique to just Windows 10 games

It works the other way around too, although you can turn off the Xbox to Windows 10 notifications.

Win8 achievements don't cause that notification on the One, don't know about Windows Phone.
