What completion took you the longest?

Gaming Chat

I was perusing through the completion stats (http://www.gamertagnation.com/member...ab=completions) and noticed a handy list that has the 10 games that took me the longest.

My longest was Samurai Warriors 2: Xtreme Legends it took me 3 years, 3 months, 23 days from start to finish.

Curious to see what other peoples are.
I'd also like to point out that it took me 1 year, 10 months, 9 days to complete MLB 2K6. Frown
This is my top 5:
01 Gears of War
6 years, 3 days, 16 hours
02 Viva PiƱata
5 years, 2 months, 6 days
03 Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
4 years, 11 months, 21 days
04 Call of Duty: World at War
4 years, 8 months, 13 days
05 Puzzle Quest
4 years, 5 months, 29 days

Make of that what you will. Gears and CoD W@W are close to legit for times. VP and GRAW2 are just because I stopped playing for long stretches of time.
Mine was The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - 6 years, 11 months, 13 days. Awesome game, this and Skyrim are great. Completed Skyrim a lot faster. I think it took so long because I didn't buy the Shivering Isles DLC for ages.
I copied my top 6, only because I know someone that can complete #6 in roughly 5 minutes, but hotdog style is dragging it out 4.5 years.

01 Beautiful Katamari
6 years, 6 months, 8 days

02 Cars: Mater-National
5 years, 8 months, 1 day

03 Guitar Hero II
5 years, 3 months, 11 days

04 Viva PiƱata: Party Animals
4 years, 7 months, 16 days

05 BlackSite: Area 51
4 years, 7 months, 3 hours

06 NHL 2K6
4 years, 6 months, 16 days

Might be time to go back to Full Auto and make a new #1

And for shiggles, my fastest. Jetpack Joyride only shows up since the achievements apparently don't get time stamped, and College Hoops must all pop at once, otherwise something is off on my time stamps. Avatar took me two tries.

01 Jetpack Joyride

02 College Hoops 2K6
1 second

03 Avatar: The Burning Earth
4 minutes, 30 seconds

04 Kinect Fun Labs: Mutation Station
10 minutes, 15 seconds

05 Sonic the Fighters
10 minutes, 20 seconds

06 Kinect Fun Labs: Air Band
11 minutes, 22 seconds
1 Grand Theft Auto IV - 4 years, 8 months, 2 days
2 Guitar Hero II - 4 years, 4 months, 15 days
3 Gears of War - 2 years, 10 months, 14 days
4 Halo 3 - 2 years, 2 months, 30 days
5 Doritos Crash Course - 2 years, 14 days, 20 hours

Seems about right. I know for total time actually put in, it's still got to be Gears 3, at over 1700hrs.

My quickest;
1 UNO & Friends (Win 8)
2 NBA 2K6 - 1 second
3 Avatar: The Burning Earth - 55 seconds
4 NHL 2K6 - 5 minutes, 30 seconds
5 Sonic the Fighters - 10 minutes, 17 seconds

Much like Hotdog's top 3, and lmao at my #4....

02 Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection - 4 years, 10 months, 28 days
03 KrissX - 4 years, 6 months, 13 days
04 Game Room - 4 years, 3 months, 9 days
05 South Park: Let's Go Tower Defense Play! - 3 years, 10 months, 17 days

07 Kinect Fun Labs: Bobble Head - 3 years, 1 month, 21 days
08 Tomb Raider: Legend - 2 years, 9 months, 12 days
09 Scene It? Movie Night - 2 years, 4 months, 4 days
10 A World of Keflings - 1 year, 10 months, 8 days

On that list, three (4,5 & 9) were for badges here, while (1,3,6 & 7) were for the VINGO competition here. So 7 of the ten were just this past year.
All my completions took exactly the same amount of time...
You guys like to rush things...
01 Crackdown 7 years, 5 months, 6 days
02 Pimp My Ride 4 years, 9 months, 17 days
In my defense, I stopped playing for almost 4 years...

01 The Godfather - 7 years, 7 months, 12 days
02 Pac-Man Championship Edition - 6 years, 10 months, 9 days
03 Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War - 6 years, 6 months, 5 days
04 Golf: Tee It Up! - 5 years, 11 months, 11 days
05 Fallout 3 - 5 years, 3 months, 1 day
Longest:

1 - Dark Sector - 3 years, 11 months, 8 days (played campaign, boosted multiplayer much later)
2 - Borderlands - 3 years, 29 days, 22 hours (played campaign, did DLC and NG+ much later)
3 - Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway - 2 years, 10 months, 16 days (took a while to organize boosting for the 0-point MP achievements)
4 - The Darkness - 2 years, 8 months, 27 days (again, MP boosting)
5 - Overlord - 2 years, 5 months, 20 days (MP boosting)
6 - Dragon Age: Origins - 2 years, 4 months, 3 days (see below)

Notice a pattern? I often don't get around to completing a game because I don't feel like boosting the MP when I'm playing through it (and the actual MP playing is about dead by then in all of these cases, so can't really get it legit). An interesting case is number 6, though. I got the vanilla version shortly after it came out, started playing through it, then got distracted by another game, and didn't get around to picking it up again for a long time later...by which point the complete edition with all the DLC had come out, so I traded in my vanilla version and bought that (cheaper than buying the DLC).
My longest completion is also an Achievement Fest Asterisk. I owe that one to Buck, Hotdog, Dren, etc. Stupid penalty shot :mad2: Lol

All of the others, sans Halo 3, are on the "start a game, move on to something else, remember 2 years later that you never finished it, go complete it" list. Hell, every one of them are quick & easy 200/1000s Lol

In my defense, I stopped playing for almost 4 years...
02 Pac-Man Championship Edition - 6 years, 10 months, 9 days

UNO
4 years, 24 days, 15 hours

Then 4 games that took 3 years and 1 game that took 2 years and the rest all under a year. Most of the long ones I attribute to just losing interest in the game.

But I know for a fact that if I ever finished Gears of War (original) that it would be the longest time to complete considering it was the game I got an achievement in.

Funny side note: It was "Dom-curious" with my girlfriend at the time who happened to be named Dominique (nickname Domino). So it holds a special place for me.
