Entertainment center setups for mounted TVs?

Hey all,

Currently in the process of house hunting (0/10, would not recommend right now), and I keep finding all these houses that don’t have layouts that lend themselves to a proper entertainment center with shelves and such. Lots of mounted TVs, many of which are mounted in the corner of the room. It’s not the worst thing in the world, but now with 3 gens of Xbox, a switch, and a couple playstations to account for, I’m having a hard time envisioning how to hook it all up without having a bunch of wires just hanging in open space.

So for those of you who’ve mounted your TVs and have a clean looking gaming setup, hit me with em. I’d love to get some ideas, and I’m sure lots of you would love to show off your awesome arrangements after a year now of few to no people being able to come see them.

I currently have 5 different consoles hooked up to my tv. I use two different HDMI switches as the TV only has 2 HDMI ports.

So, why does your console or anything else need to be anywhere near your TV? HDMI can go 50' without any dropoff or needing a booster. Most set top boxes have RF remotes now, so, no line of sight needed. You consoles are all wireless controllers with decent range.

You could easily have a mounted TV with all the components on the other side of the room, or behind the wall in the room behind your TV.

Decent point, but sometimes I like to use wired controllers if I’m working on an achievement that needs some idling time, there’s charging cables, older games that are on disks, etc. Plus there’s always the possibility of a situation where there isn’t a room on the other side of the mounted wall, and then there’s the issue of exposed cords if you’re locating it in another room - unless there’s a solution to that I’m not aware of, which is more or less what I’m trying to find out.
