Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC Coming First to Xbox One

Today, at E3 2013, DICE showed off more of Battlefield 4's single-player gameplay during the Microsoft E3 press conference. It also announced that Second Assault, the second DLC pack for Battlefield 4, will come first to Xbox One, making it a timed exclusive. Second Assault will contain updated versions of four "fan favorite" Battlefield 3 maps, though specifically which maps will be included was not disclosed.

Not surprisingly, Battlefield 4's action is full of frantic firefights surrounded by friendly AI characters and dangerous enemies alike, but what makes the section of the game shown off stand apart is its setting... at least in the footage shown during the press conference.

This section of the game, entitled "Angry Sea," took place out at sea; the main character and his friends are shown fighting their way through a sinking battleship. The action gets nuts quick as just about everything on the ship is destructible. This means that if you're using cover, it may not be safe for long.

When the action emerges onto the deck of the ship, Second Assault's squad-based commands are shown-off as fighter jets on the deck of the ship careen into the water. The ship then splits in half, and, well... as you expect, things just get crazier from there.

Battlefield 4 launches across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this fall.
