I remember being introduced to him via Nightmare on Elm St. and found out later he directed a move I had already seen, The Last House on the Left.. the later was redone and the remake was ok but nothing compared to the original. The Hills Have Eyes also remade was still a great movie. A lot of his movies have been re made. Sleep well Mr. Craven.

His genius will be missed, but never forgotten. His style has revolutionized the slashed, and there have been a few decent ones, but none as gorgeous as Cravens original thought.
