Correct, this can be played on newer versions of Windows. I believe that the checkbox for requiring 8.1 was originally an indicator that you needed the upgraded version of Windows 8 to play. Since this does not take into account the newer versions of windows, I've changed this and put in a line that it requires Windows 8.1 or newer to play.
